The main issue that is still around is the Vigil's keep issues in DAA as that is a major plotflag concern for DA2 and going forward in the franchise. As I've stated elsewhere, we're unable to directly solve this issue in DA2 but rest assured that I've expressed the importance of this issue, not just for DA2 but every DLC and future titles so we're currently brainstorming possible solutions to this issue but it probably will be a bit before there is a resolution to it.

I have a question that you may not be able to answer. Why did Bioware ship the game out, if this was a known issue ahead of time? This has happen in the other Bioware franchise "Mass Effect" but to a lesser degree atleast... I know that it may be because of time restraints that are placed by EA, but some one in Bioware has to tell them to back off.

I am still hoping we get a Dragon Age Genesis DLC that allows us to create our own Save which would fix all those Pesky Import Issues

Would be awesome if they release a Genesis DLC but they should release it for free due to the problems presented by Awakening.  Hope they do consider it.

Couldn't agree more, although I'm not completely opposed to paying for it, if Bioware feel they need more money...Posted Image

I'd rather they just take a short while to turn back to Awakenings and fix the problems there once and for all but then again I don't work in Bioware.

It depends on what they are going to do in D.A.3
Lets say they bring back the warden (which is unlikely but still possible) and say the warden got knocked out, frozen by some spell or W/E then maybe have lelliana question them(inteerogate like cassandra) It would be simple

Lelliana: Do you remember wat you are?

Warden: I'm a female human noble/ male mage w/e ectect

Lelliana "Do you remember what happened at redcliff castle

Warden: connor died/isolde died/ conner and isolde lived.

Lelliana: Who did you love?

Warden: zevran/allistar/morrigan/lelliana/

Lelliana(human noble only) "DO you remember your position aside from warden commander

Warden :I'm King/Qeen

Lelliana" What do you remember about the architecht?"

Warden: I killed him/spared him

Lelliana: what happened in amarathine?

Warden: I saved the vigel/Isaved botht he vigel and amaranthine.

---

Or alternatavily, you could have someone asking ( Idunno allistar or some scholar) about the history surrourding the warden.

Very easy to pull off, ethier way.  Regardless  of whether they bring back the warden or not.

I can't believe people are serious about a digital comic or in-game cinematic sequences. That sounds expensive, to make a comic you'd have to hire Dark Horse, then you'd have to have programmers and artists work on it. Same goes for in-game cinematic sequences, thats going to require developers and voice actor recording. Absurd!

I think it would be a much more cost efficient  solution to patch the original product so it will always work for the future.

Please patch DAO/DAA

yea i think it needs a real patch after playing mass effect 2 with that comic a lot of side quest choices were left off and it feels you miss out on a lot in mass effect not playing the 1st game but i have played the first game just wanted to see the genesis which was a big disappointment

The thing is in my opinion that the whole Import system was doomed from the Start to many variables to many outcomes also I said that bioware needs to do something because people keep telling them to Patch DAO/DAA but I am sure that it was mentioned already that it probably wont happen
which is why we need something like Mass Effect Genesis and I myself did not like that Comic much but DA2 needs it or something like it to fix the Many Import Issues.

If nothing else it could improve DA2 replayability because without it you can't Access all the possable Missions which really hurts the Game.

This is actually a fantastic idea.  I'm no computer programmer, so I don't really understand the nature of these "bugs," but it seems like it shouldn't be that complicated... and since it's obviously too difficult to figure out, why not just give us the option of setting the conditions we want rather than even dealing with imports at all?  I for one am sick and tired of the freaking Architect surviving every DA2 playthrough even though my Warden killed his sorry darkspawn butt.  If they just gave us the option to pick and choose all the conditions relevant to the DA3 story from the start, it would solve a lot of problems... just make a simple check to see if a DA:O or DA2 game has been completed to unlock this feature and we're good to go.

And one more thing... whatever they did or didn't fix, no way am I ruining my fun by letting them patch in nerfs to Blood Mage and Reaver... if the patch was just mechanical fixes that's fine and dandy, but they package this with alterations to gameplay?  NO.  A big freaking NO.  I'll just wait and make a "canon" playthrough later... but I'm not letting them spoil my builds with all this nerfing bs.

I am hope that Bioware is putting some real thought into a way to fix the Import Issues if nothing else how about at least give us a chance to unlock all DA2 Import Stuff "Missions/Codex's/Dialogs"

Which wouild improve DA2's replayability because the Default Story and Pre Set Stories don't give all the possable Missions and Stuff.

Any news on a Patch to fix the Awakening Issues that way we can finally have a Perfect Import Save for Dragon Age 2.

Ideal Save for Dragon Age 2 Import
"Origins-Warden's Keep-The Stone Prisoner-Return to Ostagar-Awakening-Golems of Amgarrak-Witch Hunt"

I hope we get an Update soon.

Nothing new yet I'm afraid, but still hoping they can do something about it.

I think the chances of BW creating something akin to the ME Genesis to deal with this issue are somewhat better than going back and trying to retrofit Awakening or Origins.

Honestly, I'm sure they're so far past it that not even their developers want to deal with what is probably considered legacy code by now. I know I wouldn't want to. It's probably way more complicated and tedious than any of us realize.

Instead of trying to fix the Origin/Awakening Issues Bioware should just make a DLC Like Mass Effect Genesis that would solve alot of the pesky Import Issues I don't see why they haven't thought about a way if not a Interactive Comic I am sure they could think of a way to implement it.

All I know is that Bioware could make it possable to select all the relevant Choices from Origins to Witch Hunt including the DLC'S that way if Bioware decides that they are relevant we will have them.

Can anyone clarify as to whether the latest patch has fix an issue from the import that references your boon for the Circle's independence or land for the Dalish because I've removed the patch before starting the game to the point where I get the level 50 and then redowloaded it but am not sure as to whether this affect my import at the beginning or not?

Not to question bioware actions concerning this subject but it's been four months since any Dev commented on this issue. Has there been any progress to fix this issue? Or is all the effort going into DLCs? This is a issue that affects not only DA2 but DA3 as well.

I actually think that they can't fix alot of the Issues like the Dreaded Awakening Issues so in my opinion I don't ask for them to release so miracle patch that can fix everything all I want is for Bioware to provide a way to experience the whole Dragon Age 2 Gameplay Experience "Missions,Dialogs,Codexs, and assignments".
