Believe it or not, I think it will eventually get through to them, once we've reached x number of months from release and can get a good picture of what sales have been like and what they're likely to be in the future.

It's increasingly looking like DA2 is not going to crack 2 million sold, and is going to fall far short of the mark set by Origins, and this is with considerably greater pre-order numbers thanks to the goodwill earned from DA:O (and ME2). Once it becomes obvious that this game has both failed to please former customers and has failed to lure in the mythical Call of Duty crowd, I think they'll start taking a long hard look at the feedback they've been getting.

Incidentally, this whole idea of getting Call of Duty's audience is a ludicrous pipe dream to begin with. Black Ops nearly TRIPLED DA2's total sales on its first day in the US and UK alone, with 5.6 million sold. Lifetime sales are up to 18 million. You're just not going to reach those numbers with an RPG.

I agree 100%. So they should stop trying, and just concentrate on making a good game.

Yeah. I mean, if it's good, people will talk about how good it is, which could lead to more sales (as opposed to people badmouthing it...I mean, I couldn't, with a clear conscience, recommend DA2 to any of my friends after I had played it).

They could also 'fix' DA2 before working on the next one...

I really think that it would take alot of work to fix DA2.I would rather
them concentrate on DA 3.I won't preorder DA3 but I still have hope it
will be a better game then DA2.I'll wait on the sidelines to hear how they have gone with the game.Da2 was just a ok game with me.Nothing special. No need to go into the reasons.I would like to see DA 3 be a great game because I really enjoy DAO.Still do.I am a fan of TW2 but that is a 8.5 on my scale. In my book DAO is much better. For rpg reasons and replayability.I expected TW2 to be the type of game it is.I have TW1.DA 2 was like ME 2a to me.Will BW listen to the fans..well looking at some of the interviews they seemed condiscending so not sure they will. They just don't seem to get it.Time for coffee

I leave for 7 hours and THIS is what happens to my topic???

Anyway, yeah, the idea that BW wants to attract the Blops crowd with this game is downright offensive.

BioWare, if you want to appeal to the Blops crowd? Make a f***ing FPS. God knows there aren't enough generic military FPSes out there. The typical Blops fans (sugar-addled 12-year-olds and drunk frat dudes) aren't interested in a swords and sorcery RPG. Period.

Listen, kid, I am considered one of the biggest critics here, but let me tell you this: This forum is intended to talk about the game or give feedback to the devs. It is not intended to bash the developers. If you want a kick ass DA3 or anything else then flaming is not the way go. You may think that the devs are morons, but the fact is that they are hardworking guys who love gaming as much as you do. So calm down or take your ass elsewhere.

Uh, please tell me where I bashed the devs other than their attempt to make an RPG appeal to a crowd who doesn't play RPGs and likely never will?

Just a reminder folks, please keep the discussion civil. We all want these forums to be a nice friendly space where people can talk in a civil manner about the game.

Thanks.

Why does the OP assume Bioware is not listening? Why are people being self entitled and insulting Bioware and Bioware's fans?

I was disappointed with DA 2 being rushed and some of the feature changes too but the way some people are reacting to it is really immature and silly, a lot of you fancy yourself and other Bioware fans as being one of the most mature and most intelligent video game fan bases but I think a vocal group of people on this forum have disproved that completely.

Anyone agree with me here or know what I'm saying?

Every programmer keeps an eye on the feedback of the user / customers. That doesnt mean that the developer agree's with the feedback or does he/she adapt every suggestion / hint whatever from the feedback. But he/she knows based on the feedback what was received well and what not.

They are aware about the concern customers / reviews / feedback gave. What the developers do with the input is a whole other story.
