It's been a long time Since I Played Mass Effect. Just Two Quick Questions
1. Does the Collectible Quests have any benefit when going into Mass Effect 2?
2. Without doing the Collectible Quests (Just all the Other Main Quests & All the Other Assignments) is it possible to hit Level 50 Before the end of the game?

2. I...think so. It's possible to hit level 57 in one playthrough, and I can't imagine that the collectible quests would make the difference there.

2. Yes. They add a minimal amount of EXP.
That being said, why not just scan every planet you come across? It takes about 10 secs. per planet and you get most of the collectibles and minerals from just doing that.
