Hello internet,
My apologies if I am the 58th guy to ask this today, but I recently fired up Origins again to make an import for DA2 (gonna give it another shot) and was wondering about Zevran. I was thinking about killing him in this run but I don't want to go to all the trouble of it if his DA2 cameo is bugged and he shows up anyway. I've read somewhere he shows up when he's supposed to be dead and I've read elsewhere that a patch has fixed this. Can someone give me the straight dope? Or at least some crack? Thanks.

According to the wiki, the Murder of Crows quest will not occur "if you import a saved game from Dragon Age: Origins where you killed Zevran."
However, I cannot personally confirm this as I let the Antivan live.

Well, let us hope the wiki is right. I'd rather see him dead than disfigured by a frying pan, lol.

I haven't received a straight answer from any of the devs, either, and its annoying me <_<.
I even sent a message to both Rob Bartel and Luke Barrett, who've been the main representatives for the latest Xbox 360 patches, and so far I've received no answer from either of them.
If this particular bug doesn't get fixed, I'm just going to finish my 3rd started playthrough, in which Zevran lived, and I'm gonna sell my used copy (yes, I didn't want to contribute to actual new sales of the game and help promote the change in direction). If that turns out to be the case, I can use the money I get from that towards my gamestop preorder of Skyrim

Liliana shows up again even if you kill her in Origins, but I'm pretty sure you just don't get the "Murder of Crows" quest if Zevran dies in Origins. Of course that all depends on if your game transfers properly. I still get told that I let the Architect live in Awakenings even when I killed him in Awakenings.

According to Luke Barrett in the "Title 1.02 patch: planning and prioritization" thread, import glitches as well as the Architect thing were caused by Awakening coding not importing correctly, and messing up original Origins data. The Architect issue, I think, has been fixed because I went through Finding Nathaniel with no problems.
Still, that friggin annoying Zevran-magically-being-alive glitch persists...
