Well, It would've been better if the Dwarf Noble Origin had the ability to be crowned king, and even make Behlen or Harrowmont a personal adviser, depending on what the player wants. Plus if your character did die in the game, the kingship could've passed to Behlen or Harrowmont (Whoever you made your adviser).

So, yeah, it'd come down to what you want to do. Could even have it so they you yourself had been king with no advisers. In any case, the quest you had to do to get Behlen or Harrowmont into the seat would've ensured YOUR claim if you were dwarf nobility.

then what is the point of making the choices if they don't mean anything in the world

They can mean something, in theory. The reality is that Bioware does it so you can RP/feel important. But major choices affect people that aren't your character. Your character gets shoved sideways, away from the plot. How different would DA2 be if it featured the Warden and then had to deal with King of Ferelden/Orzammar or First Enchanter?

still though it's a bit crap. well fair enough, i see were your coming from it would be a bit hard to do but they could atleast reffer to the warden as a paragon instead of the hero of ferelden it wouldn't be that hard to sort. but at the end of it i would still like to see him become king and retake the dwarven empire or somthing like that.

Well, non-dwarves wouldn't give a damn, no? Retaking anything the dwarves had means retaking the Deep Roads, which effectively means defeating who knows how many times over the # of darkspawn that were in the blight. It'd be an epic achievement several hundred times better than killing the archdemon. And probably impossible.

The Dwarf Noble that chose Harrowmnet should be KIng/Queen in DA3 because Harrowment is weak and a dead man and the dwarves will look to their only sane living paragon for leadership.

My Dwarf Noble is too ambitious to let Behelen have the throne he was hoping Harrowment would croak soon and take over as King.

Agreed I took this one as well...don't they actually say in the end when Harrowmont passes that they look to you to become the king if you say at the end you'll return to Orzammar.

Also, given the fact that the game was shipped with incomplete quests, no way to collect the full Champion set armor, animation glitches and the ending to Act 3 fell to a undramatic conclusion, there was plenty to work on DA2 without one possible aspect of a single origins story from the previous game.

Bioware could make a DA game that addresses every possible choice and could accomodate every possible outcome to the previous games... and it would come out in 2020 and cost $300.

My dwarf noble became a paragon, that's way better than being queen.

(I will admit I chose her as my first toon mainly because I assumed I'd have the chance to become queen though)

? You can get the full champion set. And you could since 1.01 on PC, which was a release day patch.

not impossible becuse i let the guy from awakening live so he could give the darkspawn there minds, for the reason being if that happend then they could be defeated and killed because they would have the same problem any other army has like demoraliseation and would begin to question leadership and turn on each other. so this would allow the dwarves time to mount an attack on them and slowly retake the deep roads one thiag at a time. also the grey wardens would help because that is there purpose and so would ferelden seing as they ow the dwarves so hard not impossible.

Well, they might just have the Dwarf Noble (and perhaps the former Commoner as well) become monarch of Orzammar at a later point in the series, although I doubt it. A mention as the latest and perhaps only living Paragon is probably the most we can expect at this point.

A Cousland taking the throne for themselves would've made more sense, though. But that's a tale for another day...

It was pretty fun for me when I first played trough DAO I started as Dwarf noble. I made Harrowmont the king and destroyed the anvil of void. At the end in the throne room I said to everyone that I was leaving to orzammar although I also became a chancellor to Alistar. In the epilogue things went bad for Harrowmont because I destroyed the anvil and when he died assembly elected me as king DA DAA so there for every jerk who says you can't become a king of orzammar.
