I am confused on this matter and would GREATLY appreciate any assistance you guys can render.
So I am in Sammarach and I see the delirious hunter encounter before me. I saved game BEFORE talking to him so I could try again if things don't go well. I am glad I did, because there was no option to heal him. I have a wizard with 4 points in the healing skill and some healing kits in my inventory. I have a paladin with cure spells, and my cohort has cure spells as well. I even ran back to Samargol to buy a potion of remove disease and ran all the way back (encounter was still there thankfully) and again, no option to heal him. My main character is a paladin and I would think lay on hands or remove disease would count for something. Why exactly can I not heal this guy? Is there something SPECIFIC I need to do so? Every walk through I've read simply says "heal him" but unless I lack something specific, I can't.
My party is as follows,
Main Character --> Paladin
Second Member --> Fighter
Third Member -----> Rogue
Fourth Member ----> Wizard
Cohort ---------------> The Druid That Talks To Dinosaurs
I would GREATLY appreciate any assistance you guys can render on this, thank you!

Sorry for the double post, but I am having the same problem with the diseased townsfolk as well. I have 4 points in diplomacy but I don't even get the option to try or anything.

4 points is pretty low, maybe you should come back when you have more.

Perhaps, but wouldn't it be like the nwn2 maingame where you at least have the option to try and it would either succeed or fail? I don't even get the option. Every walkthrough and guide acts like it is as simple as "heal them" but I have plenty of healing spells and kits and the option just isn't there. I must be missing something specific.

Sometimes the skill check is done before, and you only get the option if you succeed. It could be the case here, I'd try to increase the skill with items and see if it works, or come back later, as I said.

Ahh, you were right Arkalezth. I came back with 6 points in diplomacy and it worked. For some reason, I couldn't heal the delirious hunter without a potion of antidote in my inventory. Wish the walkthroughs were more clear than simply "heal him" but whatev. Thank you very much Arkalezth!
