I am guessing it will be very minor kinect use at best.

either a mini game or even when watching videos (liar of the shadow broker) shepherd uses hand jestures to go threw the videos (I do not consider it a spoiler)

I doubt it will be anything that involves the main story considering they will not want the kinect technology to effect the frame rate and kinect has the unique ability when doing full body tracking to make you look like your running like a forest gump mixed in with a drunk.

and it could be the voice recognition system on the kinect as well so that when talking to someone you actually say what option you want shepherd to say.

Either way I am a kinect owner but unless it enables some special missions etc on ME3 i will not be using my kinect on it

With the Kinect I can make Shepard dance in a groovy way!

see im not anti-kinect or anything, i dont own one because i dont have enough space in my living room for one to work properly.

but uh, somegames just dont need kinect. mass effect 3 has absolutely NOTHING to gain from adding in gimmicky kinect controls. seems utterly pointless.

reminds me of when they added in Move support to Killzone 3. i mean it worked, but no one in their right mind would want to play the game that way lol

i mean even if kinect works perfectly with ME3 would you even want to use it instead of a controller? i know i wouldnt.

Then don't use it, it's not like you have to play it with kinect.

you misunderstand, i wont be mad if its in the game or anything. i plan on getting the PC version anyways.
i just dont see any possible way kinect could actually improve on the gameplay at all.

seems like a waste of dev time to me to force in a gimmicky motion controls for a game not suited for them at all.

That's the cover for ME3?! Now THAT is bull****. I don't give a damn whether it's Kinect compatible.

Could be. Someone at GAF also suggestes reading out loud Shepard's dialogue option instead of selecting them. So many possibilities.

So long as it doesn't lock out content for people without Kinect, people on PS3, or people on PC, I don't see what the fuss is about.

As long as it's optional, I see no reason to get all upset.

The tears of you PC-ers are so sweet, tis sweeter than honey.

So what if it has Kinect compatibility. You may **** about it all you want, but people with Kinects themselves will see it as a return on investment.

True. I guess I can just see them making sacrifices for the time to develop that, like something non-critical or "extra" that would've made it in. But I pretty much feel the same way you do about it.

"We're not going to do a party game, we're not going to do Dance Dance Krogan for Mass Effect. The reality is it's going to have a really positive impact. Can we create a greater sense of immersion during conversations by using gestures? I think we probably could and I think that's where we'll explore."

Planet scanning with your hand! I can see it!! Hahah just kidding. But.... that wouulld be cool... kind of... imagine rotating a planet with your hands, scanning it with your palm out... like at a Normandy computer station, with Shep's hands acting as yours.

Or apply that to any other funtion on the Normandy's computers, that would be cool! A first person view with you controlling Shepards arms and hands on terminals would be very cool.

So long it's not mandatory for XBox play...and I very seriously doubt it would be mandatory....I guess it's what ever floats each players boat.

They dumbed it down for the lowest common denominator. This is an all time low.

IDGAF and haters gonna hate and all that, but I would totally buy a Kinect if it let me grope Kaidan in ME3.

Hope this is not true. Do not want anything to do with kinect. Poor use of resources that should go into substantial content and polishing.

Wait a sec.. so if I have a Kinect, I'm part of the lowest common denominator?

AHAHAHAHA! Good one!

Totally true because the platform I play my games on equates my level of intelligence! :)

This better be fake; It ruins the already crappy boxart, and I really, REALLY don't want it in any way, shape or form.

And if this was what the delay was for...... Here I was thinking they were actually doing something positive...

Perhaps you could clarify why PC gamers would be in "tears" over this ?  I am a PC gamer and I can honestly say the only tears this has caused is tears of laughter.

I have to wonder how much Microsoft paid EA/Bioware to shove Kinect down people's throats though ?

That cover is so obviously fake or a placeholder, since the picture was replaced with the old ME3 logo about fifteen minutes after it went up.

As for Kinect...I don't care.

If people enjoy it, good for them.

I play on the 360 and I'm pretty pissed off myself right now.

Hopefully this was just an experiment.

Sure Bioware, Just keep doing stupid moves like this to alienate your hardcore fans. I mean it, does bioware even have a conscious anymore?
