But then, I'm not sure there would be much difference in how it looks on a console compared to PC. I just won't be able to play the console version if I am not at home.

So it will either be Assassins creed revelations, or Saints Row the Third. Its a hard choice.... A very hard choice. Love both series.

It's supposed to work with smartphones so the headset was definitely a good reason to start using mine to actually talk to people on it again. Just been using it as a map and music device since I got it.Nashiktal wrote...
The headset sounded amazing, but I have nothing I could use it on. Although I told myself I would only buy one game in november... Skyrim is right out, waiting a few months for the patches and modders to have their way with the bug infested mess it will be.
So it will either be Assassins creed revelations, or Saints Row the Third. Its a hard choice.... A very hard choice. Love both series.

The question I have is ... what songs on the radio stations are the voice actors gonna karaoke to this time? I think they all did "Take On Me" in SR2, but some had one extra song. That said, I usually left on the rock/metal station because their plug was funny: "You like pop music? *one of the pop station's songs starts playing .... then gets interrupted after 3 seconds* "Go f!@# youself! KRUNCH, KRUNCH, KRUNCH"
They all will siing Take on me, plus one additional song
"
In addition to "Take on Me", each voice actor/actress chose a second song that can also unlock the achievement. They are as follows:
Male Voice 1: "The Final Countdown" by Europe
Male Voice 2: "Sister Christian" by Night Ranger
Male Voice 3: "Working for the Weekend" by Loverboy, "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds
Female Voice 1: "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears
Female Voice 2: "The Reflex" by Duran Duran
Female Voice 3: "Land Down Under" by Men at Work "
I also hope for a public radio station.[/list]
Also new Video

Forums are down while a new website is prepared....
I'm guessing they're going to run the new forums and stress test them, then bring up the new site and run that for a while, then out comes the Initiation Station!

Shock and Awesome trailer. Parodies ensue
LOL loving this one but whats really funny is all the butthurt fanboys in the comments calling SR3 out for it like their competing with MW3 now. Oh please Saints row is the anit CoD because it does things differently.

Still, to be fair the "gangsta" crow has either accepted the game already, or abandoned it. The only two groups still around complaining are as follows...
1. The multiplayer crowd. People are still complaining about no competitive multiplayer.
2. The too silly crowd. (I kind of belong to this one.) They worry that the game will go too far in the sillyness, and forget the grounded universe it lives in.
Also apparently Johny Gat is going to die. Which invalidates the second crowd, but doesn't make me feel any better.

Daniel Dae Kim is going to die? Nooo....!
For me, the craziness was kind of a selling point, except for how all my female characters ended up looking. Anyway, I'm sure the story will be good.

What I was trying to go for apparently didn't translate well in the character creator.

I'm also digging the new body type triangle, going straight up the middle for Strength looks much better than trying to make a female character look strong in SR2.

Can someone tell me what is this game about, in brief? the story, gameplay etc.
I noticed it's released for just several days.
It won't make sense unless I start from the start.
IN SR1 your just some typical everyday guy (or girl, though you couldn't pick a girl till SR2, Volture has stated this was mechanics and not that your PC could not in your own canon be a woman), in a ****ty town, you witness a gang fight and almost get killed till a group called the Saints save your life. There goal was at first to clean up and save the city. Your invited to join, and do so.
Over the course of the game, you rise the ranks, become 2nd in command, but the Saints lose there way and become the new vice kings of the street. The groups leader cuts a deal with an LT who was a cop. In the end one LT cuts lose joins UIltor, the leader walks, Johnny goes to prison, you get blown up on a boat with the mayor, whom you were trying to have a meeting with.
In SR2 ends up your survived, albit in prison, a few years later you wake from a coma, to find the saints broken, your city being thought over by gangs once more. And Ultor has gone from being the GAP, to a major company in several fields.
Over the course of the game you rebuild, cow Ultor gain most of your revenge, and the city.
After this you get SRTT
In that game it is years later, your in command of stillwater, hell you've went from low life thugs, to Yakuza. You have legitimate companies, shoes, drinks, bobble heads, even TV shows. Thats when a more powerful global syndicate comes for you. And kidnaps you when you hit a bank that belongs to them. They Demand outragous amounts of your earnings *Before taxes even* and well, look at the history of the PC, they doesn't go well.
So now upon your escape you aim to bring them down, or at least all operations in steelport. Also, unlike the previous games, the US had a huge earth quake, which screwed things up, and Stillwater was harder hit, so when the Staints rose to power its like the Yakuza in Japan, you hit them, you'll end up hurting your self as well. The Siants while a problem generate ALOT of money for the City, so its allowed to happen.
On the other hand given the blantant criminal activity of the Syndicate, and one city being openly controled by a gang, the US Military and FBI form a Special Tactics, Anti Gang task force, the STAG. They aim to stop the saints, and the syndicate.
And thats where you come in.

I know there are plenty of rumours flying around about that, but nothing solid, right?

@KenKenpachi, thanks a lot. Interesting story, It is like GTA games with better (focused) story and more depth.
After GTA3, Rockstar watched Scarface and Godfather and said, "This is the direction we're going in."
After SR1, Volition watched Ocean's Elven and Road Runner cartoons and said "This is the direction we're going in."
