Laura Bailey and Tara Platt are just two of the many voice actors and actresses whose voices I recognize right when I hear them. It comes with watching as much anime and played as many video games as I have, especially Japanese RPGs as the two do a lot of those.

It's easier to tell cycling through the Taunts and friendly actions.

Lame I really hope it's the same guy. He was the crowning jewel of SR2 for me. The way that man says f**k and all it's incarnations! It's brilliant! It's an art form!

The cockney voice actor is not the same as in SR2. Its a guy trying to emulate him.

As in... Choosing Female and then changing the Masculine/Feminine slider the other way?

Well, you can put facial hair on the female characters.  That's something at least, huh?  And messing with the face sliders, some how at one point I got my character's face looking more like a man's than a woman's.  I was messing around with the Jaw sliders at the time.

Needless to say, I immediately had to hit escape and accept that changes would be reverted.

I've been playing around with the initiation station for awhile and I'm pretty happy with it. It does suffer from an excess of wackiness, there may be 40-50 hats but half of them are only appropriate if you want a mascot head. The same can be said for the hair choices, lots of options, but very few of them are close to natural. Seems like a bit of downgrade from SR2, but still fairly deep and enjoyable.

Alright after going crazy trying to create a japanese/american character (without using any of the japanese option in the creator...) I finally create the character I think will be my MC.



I have to say though, although we get lots of new clothing the inability to have layers really limited my choices. However I had fun with it, will probably keep playing with it until release.

Today I just messed around a little bit, perhaps tomorrow I'll spend a lot more time messing with the sliders.

Funny: I chose Asian for race and your character looks more asian than mine, go figure.


I'm hoping that since it's a demo, they left out the layers that were present in SR2.  The one with the coat and the bustier, one of the other options is the bustier by itself.  So, hopefully it hasn't been relegated to just that.

Funny, I think my character ended up looking kind of like the esurance anime style lady.

Yeah the asian option doesn't really make your character look asian at all, and the eyes never really morph enough to look asian. You have to mess around with the face (specifically the cheek bones) to get an asian look.(Despite the asian option, not because of!)

Also I have to say the head in its entirety needs a lot of tweaking early on or it feels really wonky. It might be the giraffe neck (which ME1 had the same problem), and a lot of the head gear still limits hairstyles. (Which I can't really find any "asian" hair styles, the anime style doesn't really look all that anime to me.)

ugh I should've taken a screenshot inside the program because once you leave you can't get it back and the website makes it pretty much impossible to use it from there.
Oh well I'll play with the thing some more with more interesting chars.

Yeah, I was disappointed that the one labeled anime doesn't give what's expected and you can't really cut it down to one option, there should be multiple anime style options.

The female neck also looks longer than the male one, you're right.

I agree the website is a mess right now, in both function and aesthetics. Its site itself is glitchy with all browsers save internet explorer and there is no way to sort and search creations on the site. Volition has lots of tweaking to do up to release.

I pretty much had to immediately grab my creation in the recents tab to save the image.

True, but I was going for a more modern japanese with a bit of punk/underground influence. The default hair style in SR2 was a lot better for that, here the hair style in that regard are.... Eh. The kabuki style is nice, but it just didn't fit with what I was going for.

Yeah the anime style just looks... Wierd. Not really animeish, and because it reveals so much forehead you have to be careful how you mold your head or it will just look wonky. I am not sure how I feel about hairstyles, they are diverse, but at the same time hair limits what you can wear on your head, and some accesories are tied to hair. (like the one my character is using.)

Regarding the long necks for females... That seems to happen a lot in games that let you make a character, and for some reason its always the female that has it. Not sure why. Maybe bioware can tell us? Might have to tweet them about it.

The only way I've found to search through creations is to click on any of the tags you come across and then just edit the url for whatever you're looking for, but that only helps if the characters you're looking for are properly tagged.
