LMAO watching Fraser and company mess around with the initiation station last night. They haven't uploaded the video yet but when its up I'll link it. It was a hilarious watch.

Okay, so an hour and a half ago, actually 11:55 it started unencrypting.

I haven't played it though, I got sucked into another game by my mother's boyfriend, Modern Warfare 3 and it scares me. I got him like 10 levels and unlocked Pro version of perks for like 5 of them.

Anyway, I will leave you with these tasty screens of the voice cast. It is huge! Much bigger than Saints Row 2 and Skyrim put together! There may be some overlap, I wanted to make sure I got every voice actor in the list.

Notables:

Default Player Voice (Male 1) - Troy Baker
Female 1 - Laura Bailey
Female 2 - Tara Platt (told you these were the voice actors for those 3!)
Zombie voice - Steve Blum! (awesome, no one could have done a better job, he's great at adlibbing)

There's even a Special Thanks section for some voice actors: Liam O'Brien is one of them!

Got this game. Liking it so far. Movement and gameplay are way better than GTA4. I actually like the way they did the QTE's, never thought I'd say that. Driving seems a little wonky though.

My character is...well endowed.

I decided to check some things out and there's two things I wish I had known:

You don't get to customize until after the first mission

And to download your own characters, you have to add them to the queue, WTF!?

First mission is pretty short and sweet. I liked the skydiving bit. Character creator has some fun options. Graphics on my PC are much better than what I saw in vids online. Might want to go with hard difficulty. Medium seems too easy right now.

Yeah, the graphics look awesome, even better than Skyrim. Though I always find graphics like SR3 tend to look better to me, probably because there's no real world equivalent to compare it to.

I just can't wait to get back to my controller, I'm going to have a lot of fun.

He's not dead... It's like the thing with Aisha between the first two games.

EDIT: NVM, it's space.  Argh, that's probably the jump button too.  I feel stupid.

You sure about that? Its been confirmed all over the forums that he is actually dead, you even get zombie gat as a companion.

And BTW, Steve Blum is awesome, I love the zombie voice from the Initiation Station.

Definately the best game intro I've seen all year. Beat Skyrim on that and a graphics level. Which looked alot better than I expected even after seeing gameplay vids. At least on the PC side.
Haven't gotten far past that intro yet. I still want to run it again with the Zombie Voice.

I wanted to see how Tara Platt was with her accent and the dialogue is really appropriate.

I noticed the actual game looks a lot better than the character creator demo.  The skin tones and lipstick colors and whatnot look much nicer, especially for the Asian and African American ones.  They also fixed the horrible yellow spots on the Red skin tone.

With the Steelport Heroine outfit, I love the way my character looks at 100% Strength.


This is stupid.  Where's my pre-order crap?  Anyone else pre-order through steam?

Well my post about gat wasn't a spoiler until you started talking about his death rpg gamer.

Well, if I hadn't known about it, I would have come to that conclusion.

Betrayal would actually be awesome and not surprising to me or anything to sob about. Can't think of anything else that might warrant that reaction.

I am trying to download, I do the Cache rebuilding thing and it says I am missing a file, I hope it downloads now and that it's the pre-order stuff. Last time I pre-load a game from them, same thing happened with Skyrim.

It's sad to say this game is looking like its a bust. A complete downgrade from Saints Row II. The customization is lacking big time. Lack of Shops its just a copy and paste job

Not to mention they did a Dragon Age 2 in every way except the forced gay romances. No Zombie video game within the game unless this is something in a future quest. The hero seems whiney this time around instead of ruthless

This game is more happy go lucky a huge down grade from Saints Row II.

This game is so Linear as well barely any freedom compared to what you had in Saints Row II. The game so far has some great moments but nothing like Saints Row II . Unless some developer makes me lose points for not wanting to kiss a guy like Dragon Age II I won't go off.

If your hero seems too whiny, try a different voice. I've noticed personality and dialogue vary quite a bit based on which you pick.

I actually agree with him on that regard somewhat. Without layering you can't mix and match clothing... So while we can have more variety in our clothes ( however we have less of than SR2 did) we can't mix and match to make our own combinations like before.

For example there is this nice coat in the initiation station that looks great, but you HAVE to wear a corset with it. You can't just have the jacket. So its either I look like something from the rocky horror picture show, or find something else to wear.

There was also this one hairstyle I liked, but it has a headband bound to it. I can't have the hair without the hairband. I had a hell of a time making my characters because of this, I wasn't able to make the punk character I was wanting.

Volition stated it was a time issue that prevented layering, so I guess we will see if they fix this in DLC or SR4.

You bother reading crap he types? Well so far I'm liking the game, I bought the Seasson pass, up in the long run it proves worth the cash.

Just got to rank 4, was doing Beatdown on people til I realized, it's faster to drive into oncoming traffic.

I've been through 10 of the 18 sections of the city. The luchadore gang is in the lower left island.

I love how picking up a weapon automatically adds it to your House Stash and you can grab weapons in weapon shops instead to having to go to the crib. Most the weapons I found so far, except the metal SMG and the Melee weapons.

Ths Fun Time! Pack shows as downloaded, but I couldn't grab the mollusk cannon at the weapon shop. Do you have to raid the military stash?

I'm only an hour in, but this seems a bit harsh. The game runs well, looks good, and the controls are responsive. the humor's not up my alley, but meh..I don't care. I have yet to see if the missions are any interesting.
