I think SR2 was better.

I came up with a great idea: I am at a point where I just want to make some money so I can buy upgrades and stuff. So, I hatched a great idea to keep Saints Row running in the background while I do other things and play Skyrim.

Best of both worlds, haha. Technically I'm playing two games at the same and it should make Skyrim not be so boring.

How anyone can be bored of Skyrim already is beyond me.

Anyway I finally got this game working and loving it.
I see what people have against the outfits. But I'm abusing the melee system like crazy because its easily the best thing thats been improved. Also LOL@ some of these weapons.... The manapult is amusing as well as the octopus launcher thing but the one I personally love is the shark bait gun lol sharks literally coming out of the ground to eat your target!!!

BTW guys, how do I enter the Prof Genki code? I entered it in the DLC section but it said it was invalid. So, where do I enter it? SRTT is right now my first pre order ever, so, I don't know how to use pre order codes.

@ Rock, I did, not as I'm bored of the game mind you, just seeing the same things, I did play it 5 days in a row. As soon as I finish SR TT I'll go back to it. I'm just the sort, you wouldn't want me doing the same thing over and over and over, I'll sabatoge it, or find some other way to have fun with it. Got to mix it up.

As to the code question, if your on the 360, you input the code in the market place code redemption area, like what you use for your XBL cards. For the PC, not a clue.

I'm enjoying this game quit a bit. Has anyone actually stumbled on Professor Genki while exploring the city? I found 'him' kicking random people in the groin on the streets. I was wearing the Mr. Genki costume myself and couldn't let that sort of abuse slide, so I kicked his ass. I'm not sure how, but I think I got 1 million dollars sometime after that?

I haven't seen Genki running about. But have killed plenty of other mascots. Have to keep them from breeding you know.

On the Genki DLC for PC...Buying from Steam I didn't have to enter any codes for the DLC. They just unlocked on their own.

Sometimes the GPS is confusing when I actually arrive at a location to assassinate a target. Almost run over 500 people and almost got the near miss and oncoming traffic achievements. :wizard:  Dual pistols rock.

Do other misions pop up in the Saints book other than car thefts and assasinations?

After 20 hours of play time so far I figured out the my main problem with the game: Shaundi. Not a fan of her at all anymore.

Gotta agree with you on that one jreezy... She used to be laid back stoner chick who might be fun to hang around with and now she's angry like all the time and wants to kill everyone more than the leader does.
plus no Eliza Dushku :(

This Shaundi is a completely different character if they were going to change the direction and even look of Shaundi they should have killed her off and just made that women in there right now a new character.

Techically Shaundi is now played by an Angry Black Woman who is oh so hot and would have made a better looking new character

Who cares about character integrity in a game like this? I don't see her as angry, but simply a comrade in arms. And she has the loveliest ass in the game.

I am disappointed, but I'd rather this than to get rid of her and replace her with a character that has no previous ties with the saints.

I just finished Act 1. I had to replay it 4 times because playing offline, only updated one achievement when I went online. And I replayed it once to see the other ending.

Though it gave me the chance to experience Tara Platt's unique dialog.

Pierece: What are they doing, making clones?
Boss Female 2: Yes, that's what I would do...
Shaundi: What?
Boss Female 2: I, I mean, if I were evil warlord

Thats fresh coming from you.
If this game simply had the name Grand Theft Auto instead you'd be the first to jump down its throat for not having "character integrity"

Oh now wait a minute. GTA4 tried to combine serious narrative with complete, zany freedom, and it didn't work. This game wisely avoides that. I'm about 20% through, and so far this game hasn't tried to build narrative/character at all. It's about gameplay, which imo is superior to GTA4 in every way.

SR reminds me of what GTA used to be...fun. Not that I can play GTA anymore because Rockstar couldn't put out a good port if their lives depended on it.

I'm not too far into SR3 but it seems alright so far, though I don't like driving without a handbrake and now there is an annoying motion blur. I had issues with settings but that was solved by manually editing the ini file and setting it to read only.

Oh yes, the most annoying enemies spawn from everywhere is back. I had hoped they would have taken out the endless spawning, that was my biggest complaints about SR2. Not only did they not fix it, but they made it even worse.

Upgrade your vehicle. It wlll handle like a dream and plough through most stuff without damage.
I personally think that once you kill X number of enemies/cops, the spawning should stop. At least we can decrease noteriety.

Well I just finished, with both endings, which I will speak on later so when you see a gap and you want no spoilers STOP READING. I have to say at first I was some what worried given the advertising and what not, that it would be like Duke Nukem Forever a Frat Boys Wet Dream, just stupid and pointless you know. But having played it, the twists, turns and **** that comes out of NOWHERE on your ass once you pick up the game, it litterally will always surprise you and keep you glued in like a kick ass Action movie.

It has been a LONG time since ANY game has been that "Worth it" to me. Its action packed, humorous, and while they did take away some stuff I missed from SR2, this is the first time I've looked at a game thats done this and can say...it was well worth it. If you like open world shooters, action flicks, a bit of adult humor, trust me, BUY THIS GAME. It is worth every damn penny. Hell if not for some minor issues I would easily give it a 10. It is well worthy of the 9's and 9.5's being thrown at it. Now on to spoilers

SPOILER WARNING

Having finished both endings I have to say I like the "Good Ending" more. Which has you playing your role in the Saints Movie. And I'm guessing your a national hero now, at least to the public, the government still hates you. Though the boss fight and most of it was so cheesy it would even put Shatner to shame it is so deep into this and the "dramatics" I couldn't stop from laughing with most of it.

On the other hand the "Bad ending" is so griping, action packed, and down in your face that it would be great for the more serrious types. You basically blow up a flying Aircraft Carrier, kill a good amount of the Stag forces, as to why, well they after your framed for blowing up a momument decide to free fire on the City, kill everything and everyone...as if the Zombies weren't trouble enough for the city...but at the end you take your gang, storm the TV station, and tell the government flat out, that if they come back they better bring body bags, the city becomes its own city state.

The neat thing on both endings is it makes it possible to carry the game onwards, though I wonder which ending will be the "canon". Still a fantastic game.

If Shaundi stays hopefully they can bring back Eliza Dushku to voice her in Saints Row 4. Kenzie makes up for Shaundi so it's not all bad.

Shaundi seems a littler tougher now. She was such a wimp in SR2, I wanted to put a bullet through her head most of the game. I don't know what there was to like at all about the crack headed, **** Shaundi from SR2.

Her toughness is out of character but that's not the only problem. She's unnecessarily angry. Again, out of character for her.
