All of the Saint LT's from 2 minus Carlos as he's dead make a return, all have been redesigned and the Saints basically went from being some lowly hoods, to a crime group like the Yakuza, and more "Urbanite" and semi-legit with its criminal dealings. Sure they rob banks, but they have clothes, energy drinks, etc, etc. So its no suprise they don't act like they used too.

Too bad Shaundi got a different VA for SR:TT. Eliza Dushku was awesome.

Yeah a few people over on the SR forums was dissapointed about that. Also Update.

The Character Creator, will be released a week before the game for those who orderd Redfaction. For those who didn't on the same day as release....which is rather pointless as I can use the editor in game at that point. Ah well.

It's no surprise, but I'm not sure it's necessary. I'm not sure just how long this games comes after SR2, but at the end of SR2 I think I owned almost all of Stillwater. They would have a ridiculous amount of money, they could just hire people to manage things and still retain more of their eccentricities. Isn't that what you do in SR2? There is no way I as the main character going to sleep with as many men as Shaundi did to get her intel, that's a duty I am happy to relegate.

I can understand the change, but I think it could lead to the games detriment. Of course this is early game stuff, so we could see more of their personality come back as they take back the role of the rebels.

That's unfortunate, I had always figured people that pre-ordered would get it a week or two early and people that didn't would get it a few days early. Oh well, I'll still be able to find video of it, and if they have a character creator that takes more than 30 minutes to get through scrutinizing every detail, I'll be too happy to care that I didn't get it early.

Well you have to remember the "Boss" was the sort who liked to do things themself. I mean you could have sent your gang members to attack the other gangs, and sat back, but thats not how the PC rolls. So its no surprise that after he or she wins they just keep taking things on themselves.

As to the other Saints how its been written they haven't changed all that much. Shaundi is still a ****. Just an upclass one that used her status to run a "Dating" show. Gat doesn't like the new direction of th saints, and gripes about returning to the old days. (which is why I wager on him turnng on you). And Peirce was always the more "We need to be serrious and styling" type so he loves it. The PC also acts the same, if you played two and seen his reaction the the brotherhoods offer, then see his reaction to the Syndicate, its pretty much the same.

But thats not what you do in SR2. Its mainly revenge, and reminding people that the City belongs to the Saints, and you run the saints, so the City is yours. In fact the economic clout the Saints bring to stillwater leaves them as "Untouchables." hence why when the cops finally acted against them they didn't end up in jail, but on a syndicate plane. That is if they were even cops at all.

As to the customizer, from what I hear customization is the name of the game, home, clothes, body, weapons. All of it. And its easy to spen alot of time in the creator, where your imagination is the main limit...well that and you have to keep a human body. As an example one reviewer made a fat Blanka, in a G String and went around beating the crap out of people.

I hope they do something good with the old cast and whoever else they bring on board in this one, the trailer just worries me, because her character is portrayed blandly. They are certainly playing up the importance of customization, hopefully we'll see that in facial and body customization as well as allowing us a lot of options in wearing somewhat normal clothing. 300 different animal costumes is a lot of variety, however it is only useful to those people interested in an animal costume.

There will be alot of other things, need not worry on that. And the PC is suposse to seem that way at first, you decide what to do, and where to go as the game goes on. Plus your pretty much a sociopath. Those sorts of people don't break down or show much emotion short of anger for the most...which also fits the past PC's mo. The other cast is a wrestler who helps you take down bane, and there is a pimp who uses one of those voice box things to talk.

The animal customs being pointed out doesn't mean that many suits, just you can make that many combo's. And in any case was to show case a smaller subsect of clothing. You will find Military, Superhero styles, civilian, all sorts of clothing options, "Gangster" style stuff however has thankfully taken a back seat.

As to the trailer, which one? I've liked them all. If you mean Professor Genki, well Saints Row is like that. In the previous game you went around on a sub mission spraying **** to devalue property, or you impersonated a cop and killed people with a Chainsaw on a COPS like TV Show. If you want gritty realism, you might want to stick to GTA Snore...I mean Four.

Oh no, I was still talking about the freefalling trailer with the plane. The Professor Genki stuff is great. I'm quite happy with the direction the series has gone in in terms of tone, I just want to see a large selection of all sorts of clothing options, not just the wacky ones. That way I can decide my preferred level of wackiness. Maybe I want to wear a purple and yellow suit and not dress up like a firetruck.

I'm holding out hope that GTA5 will see the return of San Andreas' wackiness and un-realism. So I'll prolly pass on this.

lol they have normal styles. I plan on dressing like a soldier or such myself. In fact in some of the pictures here you can see people wearing normal clothing, like the woman PC on the jet bike. I think in most of the reviews you see them talking about absurd clothing as well...who wants to talk about what you see in the GAP? I mean Really what catches your eye more, a reviewer going, oh man I find these pants and shirts and like put a logo on them, or I dressed my PC up in a cheerleader skirt, with no top minus pasties, and a wolfs head? I mean its marketing, from what I've seen on the main forum though, there will be alot of clothings and even add ons, such as gun holsters, back packs, etc.

Its like the weapons, nearly every reviewer mentions the dildobat, or the octogun. Yet you have normal AK's, shotguns, Swords, hatchets, etc, etc. And no one minus the makers of the games in the reviews mention the airstrikes much. I think its the same as the clothes, thats stuff you expect to have.

The free falling thing didn't bother me really, just wonderd how high they were lol.

And to the above GTA is dead to me. Unless it goes back to VC style I could care less. San An didn't catch my eye at all really.

It was a great trailer, it just didn't portray the protagonists as being very interesting, but there is plenty of time left to do that.

Yeah that is the 2nd mission after all and the game plays out over three periods or what not. Plus later issued DLC mission packs, which the game has a special IOU ticket you can buy on the cheap for all three of the DLC they have on the drawing board for future release.

I mainly want to see the 3rd arc when the Government forces roll in to fight everyone. But yeah most games like that are slow at the start, I mean theres the build up and what not. SR2 started out with you at a dockyard after your jail break going out to buy some clothes, then you go shoot up a court room.

You'll probably be hoping for a long time. Now that Saints Row has filled that niche of being a "all kinds of fun" sandbox game GTA might as well stay in their more realistic lane. Now that they've ventured away from the wackiness I think it would be hard for them to do it again and do it as well or even better than how Saints Row has done it. I do miss the San Andreas type wackiness from GTA but after 2006 I honestly have no problem if Rockstar never goes down that road again.

Yeah I think GTA will keep down the GTA/RDR path for some time. Anyways we got a new trailer that shows a crtical choice in Act 1 or 2, where you fight killbane in a ring after Angle gets knocked out. Where you can pull of his mask and shame him which earns points with your companion. Or you can leave his mask on and be taught a new hand to hand move that allows you to explode people by punching them.

I wouldn't count on that. Saints Row took over that part, and now Rockstar is all about making cinematic and mostly serious games. I'm really hoping to see more in the style of Red Dead Redemption from Rockstar.

I still think San Andreas was the best GTA, by the way. It's a shame about the food system, but the rest of the game is just great.

I was thinking about pre ordering as well but I had to preorder the CE of ME3. I'm glad that a lot of people don't consider Saints Row must buy games so I have no fear of GameStop running out of copies on the release date or soon after.

What you paid all of ME:3 in advance? I just got ten bucks down on it. I mainly preorder ig I really want a game then and there, or for its bonus items. Hence why I have both ME# and SR3 on preorder. And  why Iwon't place goldeneye and MGS HD on preorder, no bonus, and I'll pick them up in December or later.

Ehh I'm not sure which of them I want the most, but of the three November titles, given the size of Skyrim it will be last to be played, Saints will be first, then Halo. by then Skyrim should have all of its bug fixes out and etc.

If SR3 is as good as SR2, that's definitely the one I'm looking forward to the most. Out of all the games this year in fact. Doesn't quite beat ME3 for me, but that's not coming out this year anyway.

lol exactly. And it seems to look better. Just so few RPGs on the 360 I have to get Skyrim now that ME:3 is moved to 2012.

No but I only had about $35 on me. $20 for Microsoft points and the ME3 preorder was $10.

I was sick of hearing all the good things about the Overlord and Kasumi DLC and not having actually experienced them. I figured I'd get some points and buy those now so I wouldn't have to do it later.
