You can.

Up to four styles in fact, As In if you want your gang to have soldiers, spacemen, Furries, or something from your own mind you can. Up to four templates can show up for your gang members that you design, plus pre-set styles if I remember right.

I plan to customize most of my guys to look like Soldiers most likely.

Really? Well then, I may just preorder then ... damn, I may be locked into this game all the way to ME3 in March next year at this rate.

The Deckers look like hipster Ronins crossed with Tron. All that neon and especially the neon star on that guy's jacket makes me think that whenever they roll up, Cobra Starship songs are going to be playing on their radios.

They have all sorts of cool stuff, and since V-singular (one of the devs for saints row) confirmed that anything that appears on an npc you can wear, i'm going to have some fun with it.

Here is the video I was talking about. Its insurance fraud gameplay, but if you listen to her voice she sounds A LOT like Laura Bailey.

Which is great. I loved her work as Kaine from Nier.

Its still jarring though. If you want I can post a video of an entire saints row story mission, it features Gat, MC, and Shaundi all escaping the syndicate early on. The graphics look great, it sounds great, and it looks fun. However it also has some spoilers, its the second level in the game.

I saw that video already. And the link you posted was just about the deckers, there was no sound from the game.

But yeah the name of the game in SRTT is, Fun, and Customization. Whats sad is between it and Rage they have more RPG elements than some RPG's I've seen as of late, and refuse to use that mantle on themselves.

Yeah, I have it on 360, but I don't have Live unfortunately.

And yeah, I've always considered Saint's Row only a stone's throw from being an RPG, since you can define almost everything about your character except their personality and background. It's possible to ignore the main storyline completely and just go around the city doing as you please and still have things happen that wouldn't be so different from any structured mission. I remember stealing a Tornado from the Police Station was a mission in itself, not to mention getting it back to a helipad in one piece.

Its funny how you mention an RPG, as you now get experience and levels in SRTT. Respect, instead of being used to unlock missions, is now experience points. When you level you now get to choose what to upgrade, like accuracy, sprint speed(or was it endurance?) you get the idea.

I actually thought that was pretty cool.

Sweet, finally.  That is definitely Laura Bailey. She uses her Alv voice from Kiddy Grade.  I love that anime.

I think I know what voice I'm going for.  ^^

Yeah thats what I was saying, it has more RPG functions than most RPG's yet its creators go out of the way and say we arn't lol.


Anyways as to male voices short of the Confirmed White Male voice, we also have the English voice in the game, in the Video where they showed off the character maker and made that Japanese guy, if you listen to him when he punches and beats up stuff, he speaks with that voice. Who knows maybe we'll have up to 5 voice picks or more this time around. V really should be advertising this, I mean between the VA's the scope of the game, all the customization and etc, they are doing a ****** poor job of advertising.

If you see the THQ approved Tv Ad, its just stupid and damaging to the game. Then agin I heard a rumor that THQ Is wanting SRTT to fail so they can axe it just like they did red faction, saying it was a "Niche" market and they are after larger groups.

I hope you're right. Hearing the Hispanic voice shout "I feel like DANCING!" after every taunt was so worth picking it.

I don't know, I played a female character and i don't remember a british voice for her. I tried them all for a female, but the black one was the only one I liked. According to IMDB, the va for the black female voice also voices Felicia in Marvel Vs Capcomk 3 and is the new voice for Sun Shang Xiang in Dynasty Warriors 6.

I tried the hispanic one, but there was just something about it I didn't like.

In one of my posts I detailed the known voices so far.

We know for a fact there are seven total, four for each gender and they both share one. (zombie accent voice)

Female has caucasian, russian, spanish and zombie. (with suspected black)

Male has caucasian, spanish, british, zombie and one uknown, (suspected black)

Ah hell that is going to take some time, its buried in the sea of impressions left after the E3 showing. I'll find it though.

Also I am being serious about the zombie voice. That is an actual voice option for characters.
