The trailer with real life humans are brilliant! Reminds me of good old cheesey FMV's from Command and Conquer but made better :DDD

It looks pretty amazing, but I don't think I can express exactly how disappointed I will be if the majority of the game and/or Reaper threat takes place on Earth. This should be a galaxy-wide problem, so I really hope they don't keep it just with humans.

So the scene with the reaper attack where shepard escapes to the normandy is obviously earth
The scene with the krogan princess is likely the salarian homeworld (altough they don't specify)
But is the newest scene where Legion is your get a way driver on the Quarian homeworld?

newest scene ? where ... i missed that.

Kind of disappointed with the collectors edition. A patch?

After the collector edition suggestion thread, I was expecting something more epic than a picture book, small poster, and a patch.

Still looking forward to the game, though.

May I be the first one to say that you are retarded. That one rail shooting part was the only rail shooting part they showed throughout the entire conference, trailer, and demo. The very thing you are complaining about is the same level they are showing for demonstration purposes. For all we know that is probably the only rail shooting in the entire game. Take your assumptions and cram it up their with others who judge this game for being bad just by simply watching the trailer.

The collectors edition was proclaimed to come with soemthing "cool" like the night vision googles for a CoD game. Where is the mini mass relay? =(

And if there is rail shooter section, there is more then one probably.

What's funny is that no one seemed to notice that the Mordin placeholder was Mark Meer.

I noticed it straight away, and a few others. Honestly he did quite well imitating Mordin.. nothing permanent obivously.

I was mainly referencing how quite a few people were panicing over Mordin's voice actor (oh dear lord, is he going to change?). Though I agree with you, Meer has evolved into quite the actor since Mass 1.

You are missing my point. My point is that if the game is anywhere near as big as ME2 or ME1 then the bit of railing shooting here and there shouldn't be problem at all. People complain about there not being enough things or different things to do and Bioware is simply giving them something different to insert a bit of variety. People are making it sound like the game is an entire rail shooer from seeing the end of one level which is dumb.

Shepard tries destroying a reaper base that turns out to be a actual mantis like reaper the scene looks like a missile silo inside a fort inside a arizone like desert. When Sheppard is in trouble legion comes to the rescue saying he found a vehicle that looks geth like in design leading me to believe that it's on the quarian homeworld. (I'm far from sure)

I like how the music went well with news reports and attacks. The song was a good choice. I am surprised you didn't implement more of the cutscenes that where shown like with Mordin.

I like how dialogue wheel has suddenly only 2 choices, they are showing only combat that is heavily scripted (stuff like that gets boring after first playthrough), almost no word on RPG elements, exploration and other stuff and Ashley is now officialy ****. I absolutely lost interest in this game, nothing showed on E3 managed to impress me.

Unfortunately i'm not going to spend anymore time on forums etc from now on to avoid spoilers but I really hope ME3 is going to be a good game.

What it looks like to me now after watching the demo is that Mass Effect 3 is turning into a action packed Gears of War clone and that's disappointing. I really like ME2  setting / gameplay....

Hope for the best. Hope you do a good job bioware!

Greetz and see you next year.

@ BarryMEA & Babli Once again people this is at E3 at a conference, panel, and interviews where they are on tight time schedule. You people keep complaining, "WHERE IS THE RPG ELEMENT, ITS TURNING TO A PURE SHOOTER, NOT MUCH CHOICE IN DIALOGUE, and OMGWTF RAIL SHOOTER PORTION=FAIL!", when they only have enough time to show what they have got done so far. People wanted to see fluid action gameplay not someone fumbling around a menu for two or three minutes. Trailers and conferences do not equal a walkthrough it is all GO GO GO! and then move on to the next portion. They will most likely reveal more on a later date when they are not constricted on time.

Edit: Also what is so bad about combining other great elements into a game to make a good game even better? I see nothing wrong with the cover system they are improving upon. I love the fact that you can stealth kill now and being able to jump/leap is a great addition instead of the lightly sprinting to the next wall. Alot of games have done this by watching other games and combining their elements to their own. Yes, it is not always a good idea but if done right it can turn into a pure success. The new Mortal Kombat is a good example of the company learning what works with other fighters and combining those elments into theirs.

To make my comment to the trailes it short: Amazing. Now it's even harder to wait (like IGN told us before). I really support the more shooter like gameplay. It will be the optimal mix of RPG and Shooter.

But what I don't get is the position cerberus plays in this game. Why do they want to stop Shepard destroying a reaper base? Indoctrinated? Thier objective is to save the world and its people, too, isn't it?
That ME3 seems to contain no new armor customization for your mates, is... regrettable, but I didn't count on this before. But hey - Now your teammates can become renegade and paragon and you can customize your weapons. Thats pretty much improvement, I think.

it would only be a temp charactor for the duration of the mission.

sorry, but it has already been noted on this thread, the fact that the actors in the video trailer "emergency", are dressed as the twenty-first century? and that is pretty ridiculous?

Actually, my daughter in law and son worked on those. :) She did the people's make up, and was part of a team doing costumes - she painted the Husk costumes. He did the props - guns and such for it.
It was filmed in Chino, near LA at a Paint Ball site, thus the blown up buildings and such

They only used a fraction of the footage so far, so maybe you will get more. She showed me the stills she took and they are awesome. You can find some at her Flicker page
