Hey there,
I'm trying to do the lighting for an exterior area but somehow, I can't get the settings right. It is way too bright, especially the ground, even though I haven't placed lights manually anywhere.
Do you recommend turning off the Auto-Sunlight? Maybe this is the reason?
Kind regards

I find the default sunlight is fine, after you place a single Ambient Baked light (colour 0.50,0.50,0.50 or whatever) to enable shadow processing.
You'll also need to place a light probe. The location of the ambient light and light probe is arbitrary, I find.
The good news is that you won't need to place any other lights in an exterior level (unless you are doing something unusual, such as lanterns at night).

Thanks for your quick reply.
Thats good news! I didn't think it'd be like that since BioWare has placed seperate lights in almost every single one of their exterior levels. (f.e. "Lothering"). I guess I'll just experiment with a smaller, quick-to-render-level then.
Thanks,
Nick

Try reducing the "Earth Reflectance" and "Layout Sunlight: Color Multiplier." That cleared up the brightness of my outdoor area for me.
