@Tisken: Heh. Yeah. I don't know (nor would I care to) how much time I burned on MOO...or other Microprose games (Sword of the Samurai, Darklands, flight sims, gah...)
I do like how they put Tie Fighter there, tho'. That was one of my all-time favourite space 'flight sims'. IMHO, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter would've been better if it had the campaigns from both its predecessors.

I can't take any list seriously that has Crysis and The Sims on it lol
Why not? The Sims, I think, introduced PC gaming to a 'different'/broader audience. I mean, there must be a reason why one part of the 'new PC games' section in our local game stores always have Sims titles on them.
(I personally got bored w/ the game quickly...obviously not my cup of tea)
As for Crysis: haven't played it. Tho' I assume that's really mostly for the graphics thingy.

Also, you whiners can shove it because Crysis is on par with Half-Life 2 and Deus Ex as far as I'm concerned.

gotthamer has it right. A List always pisses off people because everyone has their own favourites.

Half Life 2 would smash both those two games added together.

Quite a few 1st person shooters there. I think they should have discarded one for something different. I am missing some old games like tetris or lemmings.

I stopped playing at that point, but I really enjoyed the first half a lot.Valcutio wrote...
The Sims belongs on that list if for no other reason than it suckered a lot of lonely females into gaming. Crysis doesnt belong on the list at all - what did it do? Set the graphical bar so high that most computers at the time couldn't play it? Whoopty doo. The first half of the game was great but once the aliens started attacking it was just silly.
I could play it over and over again and it really does make the game.

Actually I just checked the list again and Master of Orion 2 is not on it! Thumbs up for putting Civ on the list but MOO2 is far more deserving than some of the other titles. There's some oddball games that don't really squeeze into the standard molds that should be one a list like that too. Things like Syndicate, Starcon 2, and Master of Magic.
Then there's my all time favorite game to play while drunk, SCORCHED EARTH!!

X-COM is still a godly game, definitly one of the best PC games.

DeusEx at 21 while **** like Call of Duty and Crysis is higher.Meh.
Crysis doesn't belong there, but the original Call of Duty definitely does and I'd even put it slightly higher than Deus Ex. It's just a shame it's been all downhill from there.
It's a very weak list for Strategy Games, RTW and CoH shouldn't be on there at all and it's missing all Paradox games and Men of War.
And no Thief or Independence War game.
