I've tried everything. I half rivaled her, I didn't so any of her quests. And she *still* won't betray me at the last straw.

I have Fenris on my side so it can't be the warrior requirement kicking in.

Has anyone gotten her to side against Hawke during the Last Straw? Can I get a hint or something? She just...refuses to side against Hawke.

RP reasoning. She and my BM Hawke can't stand each other.

Having her under 50% friendship/rivalry should work.
Also note that the whole rivalry thing isn't about you and whoever hating eachother.

I know how rivalry works

She and my Hawke can't stand each other. I've done her rivalry completely and gotten her nice little "screw off Hawke." talk.

You've got her full rivalry? Then there's your answer.. If you were in the neutral zone, she would've went against you. Rivalry doesn't equal hatred. It's respecting the other despite not having the same opinions. That's how the Friendship/Rivalry system works.

No not on the playthrough where I'm trying to get her to betray me. 

Aveline actually is an execption to that rule. If you fully rival her you get a conversation about her going back to Fereldan. Choosing a certain option pretty much ends with her going "well whatever Hawke. I'll work with you until I can go back." in a nasty tone. There's no coming to an understanding like with everyone else (or the coversation you get where she laughs in exasperation and the two of you come to an understanding). 

No matter how I do it she just won't betray me. Zero rivalry, mostly rivalry. Full rivalry. All her quests, none of her quests, some of her quests. 

She just refuses to turn on me.

Sounds like a bug then UNLESS Fenris has already agreed to go. If Fenris goes, Aveline will always stay no matter what. If Fenris is staying, I can only guess that the flag that indicates that Fenris has gone is incorrectly misfiring. If so, Aveline will stay no matter what. Sounds like something you should report to the technical team via the bug forums.

Thanks IanPolaris! I'd always wondered why I couldn't make Aveline ditch me too, and it's because Fenris ditched me first!
