The King certainly can't show up if he's dead and Anora can't be Queen if she's locked in a tower... what exactly happens?
If you made Alistair the King and sacrificed him to the Archdemon...

Who shows up in the beginning of Awakening if you do that? And when I say Alistair was made King, I mean without Anora.
The King certainly can't show up if he's dead and Anora can't be Queen if she's locked in a tower... what exactly happens?

If Alistair dies, Anora is made queen.
Hardened King Alistair actually specifically says he's locking her up rather than having her executed in case he doesn't survive the Blight, so there's someone left to take over.
