It's better than the Mass Effect 2 cover, but then that's not much of an accomplishment.

I agree that it could use something else in the background too, maybe a squadmate or two?

Honestly though, I'm still getting over the shock of that purple Kinect banner. Hopefully it's not there to stay...

It needs to feature some of the squad mates for me to take it seriously...

ME2 cover was ok I guess... it got my mom interested in the game (asking me who Miranda and Thane was <.<)

Sheploo is not cover material...

I'll say what I always said: get rid of Sheploo. I'm not fond of games with physically customizable protagonist having a preset appearing on the cover. If they do that, might as well throw in FemShep in there.

That cover almost makes me not want to buy the game. I didn't think anything could.

Thank goodness it's just a placeholder, most likely. That thing looks cheesy and ugly. It's like somebody vomited up a bunch of random bright colors.

The planet being bombed could look epic, but that nasty mix of purple, lime green, blue, orange, and red is not doing the game any favors.

And I agree with Drunk Deadman--Sheploo should go.

It's just a cover, I don't care what it looks like.

It's a cover. It has pictures of guns and spacy things, and the name of the game. It does it's job.

Dude, there's barely any blue on it, especially the signature blue.

After seeing this...

I hope ME3 Boxart would get same treatment.

Just my 2 cents

Not bad, certainly better than the abomination that is standard ME2's cover. Still think it's just a placeholder, using a generic template - which is why it was pulled from the store.

I plan on getting the Ultra Special Signature Collector's Edition of Awesome (Button) or whatever they chose to call it, so I don't much care what the basic cover is, but I really wish they'd use something like the ME1 cover. Was it a little derivative of past science fiction covers like Star Wars and suspiciously close to the same template used by KotOR? Sure, but who cares, because it looked great and was just another element of the harkening back to classic sci-fi from the 80's and 70's.

I hope it's a placeholder or WIP, because there are better cover arts out there they can use instead.

First time I saw it I thought it was obviously fake since the image looked too much like Game Informer's picture in their magazine, and it still looks that way to me.

So, yeah, they need to change that.

It's alright, but who buys a game based on it's cover?

Get it thorugh your heads, it's gonna have sheploo in the cover...one way or the other...personally I don't like it too much...but really it's the least I care about...gimmie a good solid game to end the trilogy...cover...meh..don't care but at least I accept the fact that if they used shep for the other 2 it's gonna be there in 3, like him, don't like him?¿?¿ accept it he'll be there...do I care? No...tell you what I'd rather have a shepploo than a random shep some guy made whom I feel even less connected to...now if you don't want to put anyone..that's more acceptable

I like this one, really it is very nice showing where the game is all about: Shepard.
They should make a flip-able cover like with Red alert 3 where you had Allied forces/tania on one side and Sovjet-Union/Natasha on the other but with MAss effect you would hav Maleshep en Femshep

Please don't **** this up by trying to make Shepard look all cool and hip.

Go for a the classical sci-fi with emphasis on the VISTAS of space, the threat, and the companions flanking Shepard.

Come on... this is the final chapter for Shepard. Make even the people that hate ME, go "hot damn"!

The omni-tool blade just seems so out of place. Even when I try to judge the thing as a whole I'm constantly drawn to that hideous thing. Other than that it's not bad for placeholder box art, leagues above ME2s; but the blade needs to go.

I thought they would continue the pattern of having Shepard and two squad members on the cover. If this is a placeholder, and they change it to look more like the first two, I'd imagine they would go with Liara and James Vega. Mostly because those two are the only squad members guaranteed to be in everyone's game.

I hate it. It's honestly some of the worst boxart I've ever seen.
