Would kill to see an Arcanum sequel with proper graphics. And since we're bringing Troika back from the grave to do it, get them working on a new Vampire game.

Would also love to see Privateer get a proper sequel without those awful video sequences 2 had. But at least X:Rebirth is coming.

I'd also be interested in a new and more refined Luigi's Mansion. I enjoyed the first game.

Freespace 2

Amen brother, preach the truth.  Freespace and its sequel were the first games I played where I found the story engrossing.

Interesting I  stumble across this, as just yesterday I was thinking "you know, the Reapers and the Shivans are amazingly similar in a lot of overall aspects".

Alpha Centauri or something like it and a Privateer.

Privateer was great.  I've been playing a lot of X3: Reunion lately which is in the same vein, but a lot more complex.

I would like to see an X4 (as a successor to X3:TC). There won't be coming one, though. There will be a similar game set in another universe. Maybe that's better, because the X series ran for about a decade. ;)

I thought X Rebirth had been announced?  Is it not a sequel to X3:TC?

Dreamfall:The Longest Journey, since it didn't have an ending.

OK, time to admit some guilty pleasures.  I played this game.  The plotline was very unique and, last I heard, the developer was supposed to be doing episodic content in the same vein as Half Life, but nothing has ever materialized.

You're right in that it really didn't have an ending.  It just kind of ground to a halt.

Yes, indeed. Great topic choice, OP. I agree with most of you guys/gals... My list would be:

- Alpha Centauri
- Arcanum
- Baldur's Gate 2
- Bully
- Champions of Norrath
- Civ 4 ; )
- DA:O (sigh)
- Final Fantasy 12 (a real FF this time, please)
- GTA 4
- Gun
- Jak and Daxter
- Kotor 2
- Mirror's Edge
- NWN 2
- Prince of Persia
- Ratchet and Clank
- Read Dead Redemption
- Ultima (an above ground rpg)

Games that are getting sequels that I've been impatiently twiddling my thumbs waiting for:

- Elder Scrolls
- FEAR
- Hitman
- Max Payne
- Stronghold
- Thief (probably next year)
- Tomb Raider
- Uncharted

This year may end up being the Greatest Gaming Year of the 2000's!

FEAR is the only game I've ever played that actually scared me during gameplay.  Damn masterpiece, that game is.

Here are mine:

Half Life: Episode 3 (how long has it been Valve?)
Freespace 3
Dreamfall (<---- guilty pleasure)

Until recently Starcraft was on this list, a game that was love/hate for me.  The story in Brood Wars was depressing as hell so I really only played it multiplayer.  However, Blizzard surprised me with SC2: WoL's storytelling.  It was uncharacteristically positive for them.  I'm sure they'll go back down the path of complete despair in the next two installments, but this one was a nice change of pace (if anyone from Bioware is taking note, avoid Blizzard's brand of tragic storytelling at all costs).

Sins of a Solar Empire 2.  The first one is a very interesting game that suffers from some balance issues, but the idea is sound.

A redo of Star Trek: Starfleet Command would be nice.

While we're on Star Trek, Bridge Commander 2 anyone?

Wa-wee, there's a plenty of games I want to get a new sequel. But the most notable are:
- The Longest Journey & Dreamfall (The developer must improve many things not only the story line, of course)
- Bioshock (What an awesome experience! Or the Bioshock 3 is good as well)
- Neverwinter Nights series (Good story but the combat system and the gameplay are boring. If they make a new sequel of this series, they must change those)
- Dragon Age 2 (They SHOULD re-make this game, since some terrible stuffs in the game has ruined our joy)
- Baldur Gate's 2 (No doubt, remake this game with improved gameplay and graphics)
- Assassin's Creed (AC2 and AC:B is damn well, but AC is so annoying, they must have a better predecessor than this one)
- Starcraft (Well, heh heh, why not?)

So it is an official topic? KOTOR 3 and a sequel for NWN or Baldur's Gate.

I'd like to see both the Rogue Squadron and X-Wing series rebooted into one game, with X-wing style gameplay with you as a founding member of Rogue Squadron. And with Bioware style charater interaction between missions.

The Squadron series is great. Its a shame only the first one is for PC. Lucasarts should really be thinkful of making another game like them.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura (I know technically it's impossible but I'm sure someone, hint hint BioWare, could obtain the rites and make a sequal)

Lunar, I want to see a real honest to goodness sequal

I'd love it if someone just remade Arcanum with modern graphics... And kept it isometric, of course.

http://www.playneverwinter.com/

People need to remember this is a D&D game, not a Bioware game.  Bioware didn't invent the D&D ruleset, doesn't own the trademark, nor did they invent Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter--they were all pre-existing properties.

5.) Psychonauts
6.) Beyond Good & Evil
7.) 2D Rayman (which is coming, yay!)
8.) American McGee's Alice (which is coming, yay!)
9.) Thief and/or Deus Ex (which are coming, yay!)
10.) Commandos and/or Desperados
11.) Knights of the Old Republic
12.) Freedom Force
13.) Jade Empire
14.) Syndicate
15.) Stronghold (which is coming, yay!)
16.) Tropico (which is coming, yay!)

also, any classic point'n'click adventure game (series), really
and a post-RotJ (NR vs. IR) Star Wars space sim would be cool, too (E-Wing & K-Wing FTW, baby!)

Fallout: Arizona or Utah with Obsidian making it and choices carrying over. I hope that Bethesda keeps allowing Obsidian to make Fallout games. Bethesda just butchers the crap out of the lore.

If they made a remake/sequel to Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, I'd be a happy camper.

I feel bad for people who never got to play it. It's criminally overlooked and underrated.
