Maybe it's just me, but didn't IGN herald ME2's gameplay as fantastic, even at some point stating they would sooner play ME2 shooting than GOW2 shooting.. and now are claiming that it was clunky, unwieldy and half assed?

I do like the sound of the combat changes (though am hoping they have kept the grenades disc-like and sticky, if only for continuity) but it sounds like IGN are trying to emphasise how good ME3 is largely by pretending they never really liked ME2 anyway

It's just gaming journalists being the good little echo chambers for marketing hype that they are. Bioware's big thing recently is to talk about how combat has been improved in ME3, so now IGN is all about putting down the previous game to build up hype for the next. They did the exact same thing with DAO -> DA2.

Over the following weeks, and especially after E3, watch how the language in press previews will be very similar to or outright mirror statements from Casey Hudson, Christina Norman, etc.

I'm not exactly happy about this reveal of Krogan Princess. For all the talk about careful not to reveal too much, this one to me is an example of the opposite.

Shepard is the one who rescues the princess, but Wrex is the one who marries her? Why am I reminded of Shrek.

And why shouldn't Krogan have princesses? ;P I'm just happy we'll see what a female Krogan looks like.

I keep picturing a male krogan in Princess Peach dress and hat...........*shivers*

Haha, I think that was the first image that came to everyone's mind. XD

Sounds like most people would like if BioWare didn't improve the gameplay and just left it broken while improving the RPG parts.

Which is beyond stupid, if you ask me.

Pretty much this. I've seen so many people demanding something, while they don't know what they want in the first place.

People, as a whole, think they are smart but they don't realize that it all has to come together into one palpable and coherent game.  Some little ideas can be good, others can clash with the flow of the game.  Let the pros do what they do best.

Also, I didn't realize that this many development house owners and employees frequented the forums to complain O.o /sarcasm

Thank the gods that there's Skyrim, Witcher 2, Deus Ex and Assassin's Creed to come to take my mind off ME3 or I might just go mad with the waiting!!!

Exactly, commander.  Henry Ford once said that if he'd asked the people what they wanted, they would have said "a faster horse".

I think BioWare are smart because they listen to the problems the fan base talks about, but figure out the solutions on their own.

Okay, you see this? This evil Cerberus Mook? That's a human soldier. You can't tell it by looking at the Mook, because he's got his face conveniently covered, but this is your own species right here, five fingers and everything. Good armor, by the way - makes you look like an evil incarnate, with those red eye slits. ;) Very robotic-like. Almost like an antropomorphic Reaper. Makes things easier, right?

But that's still a human, make no mistake. Maybe even indoctrinated, but not completely a husk, because "forced behavior modification always results in metal degradation," and we can't have the enemy troops too stupid, can we. Alive one, not completely lost.

You're going to be fighting humans throughout the entire game, while the Reapers are harvesting the Earth. Never forget this.

Why Cerberus didn't just train an army of those guys instead of reviving Shepard is something I'll never understand.

It's quite all right, as long as you guys are aware of what you're doing, and don't let yourselves be deceived. These are human soldiers, trained for years, the strongest and the best of our kind. Each time you take down one of them, you're weakening humanity. You're, essentially, working for the Reapers. Keep that in mind while you celebrate your victory over Cerberus Mooks.

And we're going to kill a LOT of Cerberus Mooks in ME3, I just sense it. Shepard is helpfully taking down the humans who escaped the destruction on the Earth.

Wanna see it myself before believing, but I think the gunplay will be actually good this time.
Though that god damned omniblade sounds way too much "press A for awesome -> four seconds of unskippable ridicilous kill animation"
