Krogan princess! ^_^

Sounds fun.

Melee sounds a bit weird from what I read - biotic blade for adept, wrist blade for soldier? I don't want to jump the gun and start moaning like the usual thing is in here, but will have to see what that is about.

Yep, soldier with a tech blade. Maybe there is something to that EA store cover art...

in ME2 with soldier on Insanity you also didn't need the cover... so I don't know what to take from that. At least we gonna see one female alien beside the asari. I hope female Krogans look EXACTLY like male Krogan just with a ribbon on their head. That would be awesome :D

I just hope they will release a demo to play so I can at least see what the combat is like, it sounds so familiar awesome what they are trying to do Oo... if it blows like a certain other game I will cancel my preorder this time, because bioware can disappoint. That's what I learned a few months ago.

Is Heavy Melee related to a skill/specialization? Would be great if you could choose to focus on melee or stick with ranged combat.

Not so happy about the melee emphasis. If you got a gun and the enemy makes it to close quarter range, then you are doing something wrong.

Not neccesarily, that particular enemy will have a buddy with a Rocket launcher, sniper rifle, or even a Revenant, laying down suppressing fire in an attempt to keep you pinned down long enough for him to pull an Ezio on you.

In ME2 "you spent too much time fighting thugs who think wearing custom painted armor makes them soldiers." The enemies of ME3 are a little bit smarter, they've borrowed a few pages from Sun Tzu's playbook.

And Shep vs Kai Leng has got the be settled the Chuck Norris way.

I heard the Krogan Princess is supposed to be damn smoking hot.

Bring it on, BioWare! Bring. It. On.

Krogan princess. 0: Maybe we'll get to see females of other alien species, too?

To be honest.. what's easier to convey in a quick 10 minute demo? Combat, or RPG? Honestly.. you'd rather they revealed key plot elements? Or made 10 min worth of dialogue that's not making it into the game? Srsly.. lighten up. Combat is the easiest thing to display. It's also a staple of the series, it was in the first game (a lot of it) and it was in the second game (dominated sadly).

Bioware rules, pure and simple. I can't wait for the third installment.

I support the Krogan Princess for LI in ME3.

Well, I didn't know, that the Krogans had anything to do with the monarchy, at least it is not in the Codex, and frankly, it does not suit them, in my honest opinion.
But I find the idea of a Genophage-free female quite interesting (someone above mentioned it.). It would be perfectly logical for Salarians, to hava a "back door" from Genophage project, in other words, to have some Genophage-free Krogans living on their homeworlds.

What I'm more concerned about, is that the game assumes, that the DLC did happen. Well, it makes me slightly angry, because the devs gave us mere dellusions of choices. For me, it was quite an interesting option to go with my first ME3 playthrough and having helped Liara-Sue with the Shadow Broker, and having a powerful ally and then to play with another Shepard WITHOUT completing the DLCs.

It would be somewhat of a reward for actually spending my money on the DLC. Now I just have the feeling, that the devs don't want to create a great game anymore.
I don't even tell you, how angry I am for forcing the Arrival to "take place", no matter if I even bought that junk (unfortunately, I did). Arrival should be rendered non-canonical and forgoten.

I like Liara and I like Arrival, so nyah. Your feeling that the developers don't care to create a great game is about as far from my feeling as possible.

Looking forward to the action.

Also, what about all of the people who spent their money on ME2. What reward do they get if ME3 assumes ME2 happened?  What about all those people who played ME1 and didn't want to play ME2, ME3 should have an option that ME2 never happened as well.

Also, what about the people who played ME1 but didn't feel their Shepard would have bothered to go after the Conduit. They could have chosen to stop the game right there but Bioware rammed that ending down our throats. Making Shepard save the Citadel whether he wanted to or not.

These Bioware people, no respect for people's choices Image IPB

Instantkills- I'm not to excited, if its like a stealth attack from behind okay, but having a full shielded enemy and just running up stabbing them to death, I don't know, seems to easy

Krogan princess, nice to see some different people, not just different races but females, but I hope she doesn't have a beard

Overall- better than ME2, they said more combat outside of the mandatory cover in ME2, and that's what I like, a mix between cover and run and gun

Rest asured that the taint of Dragon Age will not fall on Mass Effect.    Reguardless though I agree about the Demo!    ME2 demo came out after the games release... I would love something to pass the time.

I hope that means crouching will make a triumphant return.

Depends on your playstyle. All my sheps use a shotgun and most of the time I'm the one going at close quarter range. Shotgun blast + melee = effective and satisfying.

I'm very eager to see these new melee skills

Same here. Besides, if you read the books or if you ever got into a close quarters fight, a good knife always helps! You can walk around a corner and almost bump into your enemy, boom! Knife in the throat before they even draw their gun and get to aim!! All military/ merc/ assassins/ etc use knives! ME3 sounds like it'll be dang near close to perfect now... A Shotty and a knife... *Drools*

Honestly, a CQC fight sometimes happens in ME2 even if you have a gun. I really hope the melee combat will be as detailed as they say it will be. That will definitely add depth to the game. Melee combat as it is, is kind of..bad.

(better than ME1. Anyone remember that AWFUL melee attack that was only available whenever the enemy was near you -- only you wanted to shoot them instead of melee? I do.)
