awesome a krogan princess. being on the Salarian homeworld there is hope for female Salarians too. I don't want to read any to avoid possible spoilers but at the same time it's too exciting not to. I can accept Mordin as temporary regrettably but damnit I want my Wrex back as a full squad member
Agreed, Mordin is fantastic. Even if you can only take him on this mission, perhaps he comes aboard the Normandy and you can chat him for the rest of the game.
Too bad the Krogan Princess isn't a squadmate.

It sounds like the ramifications of having
both a ME1 and ME2 love interest aren't going to be as bad as I thought
it would. Should be fun to have 2 women fighting over me all game,
especially if it's Ash VS Miranda. lulz
I CANNOT wait for garrus and kaidan to slap eachother around over me. Fantastic.

It's not fair that I have to wait several months to play this game.

It's going to be such a disappontment for many anticipating people if "krogan princess" is a little kid, or a newborn.
Not to mention creepy.

Actually, she could be nothing more than a tank. In case she's tank-grown like Grunt. Or she could be a test-tube - a work in progress. Recently made, that's why the krogans didn't learn of her yet.

Brilliant article in general, though of course I disagree massively with the dissing of the ever-awesome Kaidan. ;-)

Doubt even an armada will do it, we need the factor x the devs have been saying, what that is we will find out.
As long as "factor X" isn't the awesome button, then I'm happy. I mean it ! No ancient Halo ring that wipes out all Reapers inside and around the Milky Way please. That's borderline retarded and a action-movie/game cliche.

I had to suspend my disbelief when I read about a krogan princess on a salarian homeworld. I've never heard about any krogan princesses, much less about them being on other planets. I'm sure they'd create a plausible explanation for it, though. The krogans really are completely helpless, aren't they? They have their present and their future being handled for them by the other species.
I was disappointed when I learned that the princess is the key to uniting a divided krogan homeworld. I thought that Wrex was the key. If krogan homeworld remains divided, then giving the krogans a cure for genophage would mean destroying the krogans and endangering the galaxy. So, it doesn't matter all that much now if Wrex lives or not? Before, his presence seemed vital to the future of the krogans and the galaxy. Now there's suddenly a princess. I suppose it's a relief to those who got him killed. Is she here to make sure the game isn't broken because of your choices?
Okay, Renegade now means "I don't want allies"? I've been waiting for a while for an explanation for the Paragon / Renegade system. At last I know what's the essence of it is all about.
You've got two love interests, vying for you, from ME1 and ME2? What about new love interests - what if I didn't like anyone available from the previous games? No mention...doesn't necessary mean the accent is on the love triangle with Liara and VS. I hope.
Ugh, convincing the galaxy humanity is worth saving? How about convincing the galaxy they have no other choice but to unite against the Reapers? Humanity isn't going to be a beggar in this. We're all in the same boat!
I suppose I sound unhappy. The general mood of the game colors my perceptions. To be more specific, the choice for the main antagonist. Just read that other article where you're fighting Cerberus every step. Well, it wasn't pleasant to read about, and I can only imagine that it's going to be even less fun to actually play through it.Well, never mind me.
I love Mass Effect to pieces, but I feel similar to you. It's not what I expected....seems sloppy sofar. Add in it looks like its going to be a lot more pew pew with Call of Duty aspects added in....ugh!!!
At this stage of the game I should be super excited...I was when the game was going to be announced and what not. Now I just naturally feel a sort of disappointment and find myself not posting in here as often. The focus on Bioware on combat....relentlessly....has made this feel like a pure shooter and that's a big reason. Some of these WTF aspects of the game I've heard confirmed isn't helping. You hit the nail on the head with Wrex...I thought Wrex was the glue to the Krogan spirit. I saved Wrex by allocating skills through choice of my own, you know, before skill trees were gutted like a fish. In that awesome game called Mass Effect. Guess that don't matter, or the fact Wrex was uniting the clans in ME2.
Ditto for me on humanity. I said from the reveal trailer and leaked official game description from EA that the focus is too much on humanity. Why, just why, do I need to try to explain that humanity needs saved, and oh by the way all life is in trouble as a sidenote. Disappointing. The plot has altered drastically from the original Mass Effect. Remember the conversation with Sovereign and Vigil, and the implications behind that? Now its awww will humanity be ok? Can we get other people to like us enough to come and help us, even though these races would (or should) be facing threats on their homeworlds?
But yea, we get to save Earth!! And shoot with our super awesome cool Call of Duty combat in third person! Can we melee? Can we have blind-fire? We can pick up weapons like Call of Duty!!!!! Super cool we get to shoot Cerberus!!!
Ugh...

ME2: a human, even with nonhuman crew, sop collectors from making a human-reaper
ME3: reapers finally get a chance at revenge against humanity for destroying one of their own

Perfect demonstration of what I'm talking about. The Reapers are machine gods who farm the galaxy for organic life every 50,000 years. Obviously revenge takes precedent over that, especially when revenge is an emotional response to something that angers you.
Maybe Reapers do have emotions. We will see. They are machines, so initial logic says no emotion=no revenge, but let's wait and see

I thought this was just the reaper's attempt to cover their own ass, you know take out the species who has proven to be the most lethal to them.sympathy4saren wrote...

Really IGN? Did you guys watch the cutscene where the entire Alliance fleet struggle against one reaper at the end of ME1?

The article pretty much confirms how I thought ME3 would turn out and it looks exciting. I'm sorry the humanity haters are disappointed that the focal point of the game will be Earth. However, the whole series has pointed to that endgame so you'll just have to deal with it.
