Preferred Mass Effect 3 endings.

My perfect ending would be Shepard delegating his squadmates to command certain armies (Obvious things like Mordin should lead the Salarians, but some not so obvious things like Miranda leading a new Cerberus would fail, Jacob leading a new Cerberus wouldn't fail, Jack leading a new Cerberus would kill everything for the ultimate ending) ala the way the Suicide Mission was. That was probably one of my favorite things in gaming. They gave you a taste on Virmire of a similar thing (Kaidan or Ashley goes with Kirrahe, etc), but the Suicide Mission was art. Give me that on a grander scale and Mass 3 will go down as the best game ever in my book.
I'd also like to see at least one ending where Shepard ends up with non-blue babies. Seems the only possibilities are Jack, Kaidan, Ashley and Jacob for that. Then again, it'd all have to work with skin tones and eye colors, facial features, etcetcetc. I don't know if it'd work. At least, I'd like to see how Jack would react to being pregnant lol
One thing I really loved about Fable III was the choice system for particular things that changed the environment around you. Like that one Hippie village was up for either staying the way that it was, peaceful in the forest, or turned into a sewage dump for Bowerstone. Obviously, I turned it into a sewage dump, because well... **** hippies. But that village was forever changed after that point, and that's actually changing the game world itself, a place you could always travel to. It's not like Teltin on Pragia, where you only went there TO blow it up. I like this system and would like to see a similar thing incorporated into Mass 3.
Edit: I just realized that I more or less just described part of what I want to see in Mass 3 and not just the endings. Sorry about that, OP

Shame that BW didn't think further in advance and reverse ME3 with ME2. Guess they didn't realise it was going to be so popular. That said, I am sure (fingers crossed, they are delaying until after Christmas, so they must be confident of success) that they will deliver.
They'd better, otherwise there will be a lot of Shepards' paying a visit to the folks at BW lol.

High casualties.
Lots of worlds destroyed.
Earth (possibly) lost.
Every species united to rebuild the galaxy.
Renegade:
Minimal casualties.
Less worlds destroyed.
Earth (possibly) saved.
Every species on the verge of war.

1) Ultimate Victory - The Reapers are defeated, everyone survives etc.
2) Ultimate Sacrifice - Shepard gives his life to stop the Reapers
3) Epic Fail (for those who really screw up) - Everyone dies, and the Reapers purge the galaxy once more
Also, a conclusion to your romance path would be nice as well

Ditto.
I'd be a little pissed if it comes to that.
Besides, can't do side misisons and NG+ after the story is done if you're dead, right?

Good point, hadn't thought of that
Though I think Dave is on the money with this one

You want to do side missions after you've defeated the reapers? Your Shepard is a helluva tough son of a b*tch

Worlds can be restored. As long as we stop the Reapers from devastating more planets, I'm good.

Well, the game will reward the thorough player who's doing many side missions as well as the story, so better save as few as possible for later.

Reporter: Why did you sacrifice Earth?
Renegade Shepard: I haven't had a good laugh in a long time, I saw the opportunity and...
Ha I doubt that would happen but it's fun to joke about. If anything Renegade Shep will sacrifice an alien world.

I prefer a "unity of endings" for the political scene, post reaper war. Earth survives but heavily damaged, same for everyone else's homeworlds and largest colonies. A lot of colonies are depopulated and the whole galaxy turns into the wild west for a few years post Reaper War. Reapers are dead, extinct, and not coming back. Pieces of Harbinger's corpse are put on display as a warning to all what happens when you **** with humanity. Udina dead too. That thought gives me a warm fuzzy.
The endings for each character should be wide open ranging from happily ever after all the way to epic fail / death.
I also expect ME3 will have a fail ending kind of like ME2 did as a way to inform the player that he needs to step up his game and/or pay better attention to the plot cues.

Shepard gets a nice statue on the citadel (holding LI of choice in one hand, hand cannon in the other. Your two most used squadmates stand behind him with guns at the ready).
