I have the "Dragon Age Has Stopped Working" error. Where the game crashes right after I click play and fails to launch. I've done numerous checks and reinstalls and received some help from Luke Barrett.
Steps:
1) I download the game from the EADM with my resident shield (AVG) turned off.
2) Install the game
3) Install patch 1.03 before even running the game.
4) Install the high-res pack.
5) Launch the game launcher
6) Hit play. It goes to the config. I let it auto-choose the settings.
7) accept, hit play, and it crashes
Is there anyone with a similar problem to mine who has had it fixed?

The game still crushes during cutscene after killing Desire Demon in Sebastian's Act 2 quest.
Any chance to fix this soon?
Thank you.
I know that I'm repeating myself again here, but I'm going to highlight this issue again, especially since I fail to recall seeing an official response that this is even a problem. I've tried repeatedly since installing patch 1.03 to get into the Harimann estate, and was only successful once- only to have the game crash back to my desktop right after the very first cutscene with Flora.
So, again- after waiting for 3 patches, and several weeks, when will this be addressed, if at all?

Glad to hear about the combat-music levels, that was so annoying.
Have now experienced this first hand and -- HOORAY! I can now hear all the little things everyone says during battle. HILarious!
Thanks so much!

I still seem to be having the same issue I've had since launch. Hoped this would fix it but it does not. Perhaps someone could tell if there is an error in my steps to install it...

I would advise installing the game, run it....if it works install the high res pack, run it....if it still works install 1.03....if at any time the game still crashes you know what might be causing the crash (either its the game itself, or a patch/pack)

I have tried that plenty of times with every other patch before this one. 1.03 was supposed to fix this issue I believe, or at least what I thought was my problem. Thanks though...

Only thing I can think of then is in the launcher make sure its set to low graphics, don't hit the auto select (just to get in hopefully) and make sure DX is set to 9 not 11 (and cross fingers, toes, eyes, whatever^_^)
On Topic: Been running 1.03 for around 5 hours now (and counting) not a single crash and still loving the combat

special in the one when you meet Isabella for the 1st time
when you start talking to her and she turns to you...
if shes in the picture
the lag is terrible...
rest of the game still runs smooth
only have that lag with DX11...
DX9 no lags at al

Also, what's the point of traps if they don't injure you? The injuries were the only reason I was so cautious.

I wish they had kept injuries in for traps on, say, nightmare and hard, or even just nightmare.

The only real annoyance I'm having with this patch is that occasionally bad guys will hit ~1% health and then become invincible for an extended period of time. This happens on everything from lieutenants to the trash mobs with tiny HP bars.
I experienced this in 1.02.

The only issue I've noticed so far is that Isabela's daggers (when sheathed) are now hanging noticeably in the air. I haven't noticed this before, and didn't have enough time to see whether it persists yet.
Ive noticed some other things of hers hanging,...distracting

So far the only bug I have come across is the templars not being equipped with bows in the Dissent quest.
It loaded smoothly and I experienced no crashes.
I really appreciate the changes and thanks for making the exploding bodies more random.
Dude that Templar's just break-dancing. That's working as intended.

I have noticed daggers "hanging" pre-patch. In fact, since launch. I don't think there is much they can do about it, because if the daggers are actually touching her back, there would be severe clipping issues when running/walking/etc.
Edit: sorry for the double post. Don't know how to add a quote to a post I've already made.

This is true! It was so distracting - how did I slice & dice that guy with my little daggers? Why is he bald? Wasn't he a girl a few seconds ago? And about the trap question, I wondered that, too. Well, I guess they hold you & keep you from fighting. Actually, when I put down traps on other rogues, my intention is to hold them, not hurt them, until I can utterly hurt them, so it makes some sense!
