I don't know if I'm posting in the right place, but I'm really experiencing a terrible problem, and am near hysterics. I bought the DLC mage, warrior and rogue packs and got the Black Emporium and everything worked perfectly. But today I've been experiencing a LOST OF CONNECTION bug of sorts. It just interrupted my game and when I try to load the game it says it cannot load it because I am not authorized for the DLC warrior-rogue-mage packs OR the Black Emporium. Yet when I come here on to the Bioware site, and check my account it says I'm authorized and lists the things I'm authorized to have installed and they are all there!!!!
I cannot log into my account at the beginning of the game, I keep getting the message "You have lost your connection to the server."
Why is this happening? Why is there a faulty connection going? I did not change anything. Is anyone experiencing the same thing? Please help me, I beg you...Image IPB

There seems to be some sporadic login issues for some people. Try exiting out of the game and logging in again. Once you have successfully logged in and re-authorized your DLC you can play logged out so that it will not be deauthorized again.

Sami jo, thanks so much for replying. I was online with a specialist from ea/bioware last night trying to solve the problem. He could not help me.
I have tried everything. I have started a new game without my dog cause I can't log in and it says that The Black Emporium is unauthorized for me, when I've had it from the very beginning. I also will miss my DLC's mage-warrior-rogue packs because I, for one, LOVED them, and was happy to spend my money on them. What is more frustrating is that the game says they are unauthorized also but they feature as INSTALLED and are in my game content in my profile here on the Bioware site. So I 'own' them, yet they are unauthorized according to the game on my pc.
This takes all the fun out of playing. I had never had anything like this happen before.
Not only that, I have to manually type in my password in the box when I start the game to see if it logs me in but it logs me back out and the message "You have lost your connection...blah, blah, blah" appears again.

I wonder if I uninstall and reinstall my game it will solve this problem? I still have to try it, I haven't tried that yet.

Thanks again for replying! :D

Something to try--I DO NOT know if this will work for DA2, but it did work for me when I had the same thing happen with Origins.  This may work if you either have a backup of your DA2 settings folder from before you lost authorization or if you are running Vista or Windows 7.  First, save a copy of the Documents\\BioWare\\DragonAge2\\Settings folder and put it someplace safe.

If you have a backup of the settings folder from before you lost authorization, replace the one currently in the directory with the backup.  Disconnect your computer from the internet so that the game cannot  deauthorize the dlc again.  Start the game and set it to not log in under the options menu.  See if your dlc is not playable and if so, continue to play offline until the authorization issues are fixed.

If  you do not have a backup and are running Windows 7 or Windows Vista, backup the settings folder.  Right click on each file in the folder and select properties.  Select the far right tab at the top and look for a restore-able version of the file from before the dlc became unauthorized.  As above, disconnect your computer from the internet, load the game and set it to play offline then load your game and see if you can access the dlc.

I am having a slightly different problem, when I try to buy the m/r/w DLC, I keep getting a warring about the wed site's identification can't be confirmed and it's unsafe to go there. But it doesn't happen with the ME2 DLC's site.
Anyone know what is wrong there?

Sorry if my English isn't right.

Sami Jo, you are a lifesaver. I will try to definitely do that, thanks SO much. I don't know why this is happening. As I said, I cannot get connected so the game can verify that the dlc's are authorized and I can only play the game without dog, without Emporium and without the packs I bought and well, you probably can guess how frustrated I am feeling right now. Thanks SO much for your help! I've printed out what you've posted and will follow it word by word. You rock! :D
@Raven_26, do you mean the certificates that the website is safe, is it a windows thing? Because I got that tonight also. What you have to do is get the certificates updated, but I'm not the computer expert in my house, sadly, my husband is, lol. What does the message say exactly?

@Patty yes it is the certificate that has "expired" on the site and no I don't think it's a windows problem, my sister has the same problem on her mac laptop. I have tried to use both Firefox and explorer and both say the same, certificate of the website has "expired", and that it can't confirm the identify of the site, the site security can't be confirmed, and that it might be unsafe to continue to the site (only where you buy points and DLC for DA2) works fine for DA and ME2.
It's hard to translate it 100% but that is about it. I could show the link to what happens but it is in Danish >.<

@Raven: contact EA customer support. They run the website. It isn't a game issue, so no one here can help you. The warning simply means that the company has not paid for or updated a certificate from a third party saying they are who they are. Microsoft's own hotmail servers have the same issue. Click "ok" or "continue" or whatever the equivalent is and you should be able to complete the transaction.

HI Sami Jo, unfortunately the last settings restorable file is from when the change occurred, so no, I can't do anything about it but wait for them to fix the problem.
I hope they pay attention to this, I'm not the only one who has to play without being connected to the servers!
I miss my dog and my mage, warrior, rogue dlc' packs...:(
Thanks for your help anyway! You rock! :D

=( I'm sorry. I know the devs are aware of the issue. The last time there were similar issues, a change had been made to an EA server that wasn't even under their control. I would file a reportwith EA technical support just help them get a handle on how many people are having problems.

Hi Sami Jo, yes, I was on the net with a tech the night it happened (Thursday night) for two and a half hours and I even have a case number, lol.
I just hope they can get it going some day. It's frustrating as heck to play and not be able to access what you are entitled to, ya know? I'm not very patient. If this problem continues all week, I'll write to them, if possible and remind them.
Thanks again! :D
