I'm assuming there's an embargo because I havn't seen any online reviews.
When does the review embargo lift?

There are numerous printed reviews already, and although I haven't looked at every single one of the review-threads, I'm pretty sure there are also some online reviews out right now.

They have allowed several full reviews in which people have finished the game and given impressions. The impression I got was that such reviews are not the norm for the industry.

There is still an embargo folks. Gamespot, IGN, etc. None of the big guys have posted reviews.

Does that mean there's an embargo? I think it may just mean that it's a busy time for big releases. I suspect we'll hear from the big boys Monday.

It means there is an embargo. The reviewer for IGN finished the game weeks ago. Giant Bomb's reviewer finished the game a couple weeks ago. Pretty sure the guy at Gamespot did as well. If there was no embargo the reviews would be up already. Embargo's serve a very good purpose. It forces a publication to wait and making them wait means they'll be able to play the game more and give it a good review. If the embargo wasn't there we'd see them release reviews of games before they've finished playing them or even reviewing preview builds solely in the effort to have the first review out and get the most clicks/shelf sales.

Yeah, still haevn't really seen anything for real reviews yet, so much as general ass-kissing without any critical eye toward the game. I'd suspect it's tomorrow.

Supposedly a UK review today, if I recall posts about it correctly.

There have been rewiews appering online at IGN AU, PC UK Gamer, from a Polish site, and a Checz site as well as from some other sites I can't remember right now (gamestar.de, for example).
One of those reviews, mentioned that his review embargo was no being lifted; I think this was about a week ago or so. Can't remeber seeing a gamespot review, though.

IGN AU gave the ps3 version an 8.4
IGN UK gave the PC version a 9 I think.
So,embargo? Maybe there is a time zone difference. You can probably see the review from north american reviewers tomorrow, or late tonight.
