 hey guys

i recently setup dragon age and i love the game, good work bioware

but ive come across a phew bugs even after updating to 1.04 the latest patch

During gameplay. i run fine, mostly at 100 fps + and i have no problem, but every now and then, ill enter an area , and ill recieve MASSIVE lag. out of absolutely nowhere

The games using 72% of my processor and 3.06GB out of 4GB of ram

Not even dragon age 2 uses that much or black ops, or any games that ive played as of yet, some games which are almost quad triple the size and graphics and data than dragon age Origins

My PC Specs - im way above recommended specs

AMD Phenom 2 955 BE Processor 3.2GHz
M4A87TD/USB3 Motherboard
GTX 460 Gigabyte 1GB SE Graphics card latest driver 275.33
4GB G.Skill DDR3 1600Mhz Ripjaw Gaming series RAM
750W PSU
500GB WD Cavier Blue HD
Windows 7 64 Bit Home Premium

my job is a pc technician, and i can restassured that my hardware is fine besides my hard drive which does have a phew issues soon to be resolved, but i very much doubt its causing this issue

Ive yet to apply the famous "unofficial patch" version 2.0 which appearently fix's alot of bugs, im hesitant to try it

For note, i do have alot of mods installed, dungeons, addons. etc, i am aware the more mods you have the more resources the game uses when running

but it still shouldnt be this much and i shouldnt be getting 2-3 minute massive lagout spikes from nowhere

If you're using v-sync, try turning it off in the game and forcing it through the Nvidia control panel, instead. Also, turning off "persistent gore" helps some folks.

Also, people in the DA2 forum have reported issues with driver 275.33 and the latest DA2 patch (1.03). May be unrelated, but worth exploring. I have a Phenom 965 with two GTS450 in SLI and the game purrs along fine on driver 270.51.

EDIT:  I would be cautious about applying the  some of the unofficial fixes, as they may not be compatible with DAO patch 1.04.  There's a lengthy discussion thread, with links, pinned to the top of the forum ("Community Fixit Project).
