Hi, i'm in Suldanesselar and ready to enter the palace  and i will start in TOB after finished with SOA. I have quite a lot of items stocked in some chests in the Planer sphere and what i need to know is if you can travel to Athkatla in TOB and will the items still be there? Or do you need to carry everything you want from SOA in your inventory when starting in TOB?

I'm also wondering if i can stock items in watchers keep in SOA an have access to them in TOB?

If nothing of this will work can i then leave Suldanesselar and pick up the more important items in Athkatla and still return and finish, or is there some sort of time limit?

Any help would be Marvellous.

Once you start TOB you CANNOT return to Athkatla. What happens (to be) in Athkatla stays in Athkatla, so to speak.

Things left in Watcher's Keep are, to my recollection, supposed to carry over between SOA and TOB, so it is handy for keeping access to your belongings. You may want to verify that, but that is how I remember it (it has been a while). By the same token, your progress in the Keep should also carry over.

Though it is a bit unrealistic, there isn't any time limit on completing Suldanesselar.

Ah, thanks for the help! I should probably try relying on watchers keep for storing some items then. But do anyone else have experience with watchers keep like using it for storing items when you go to TOB?

I assume you got the Bag of Holding from the Spellhold Maze and you could get an ammo belt early in Watcher's Keep. Between the 2 of them - and your mage/cleric spellbooks - it easy to take everything with you.

ToB gives you storage in your little pocket of hell... IMO that's the best place to put your stuff.

Except that you can't get there until you start ToB, and the OP wants to move his stuff from Athkatla (which you can't get to in ToB).

I left some (the least important) stuff in the chest in the first level of watchers keep Durring SOA and then it will hopefully be there in TOB as well... But it sounds good with an ammo belt, and yes i have the important bag of holding and bought the potion bag in watchers keep as well.

What exactly are you stocking that needs so much room? Stuff like keys and notes can essentially be thrown away after their quest is completed, unless you wish to hold onto them as keepsakes?

You can always use the CLUA console to move your party anywhere in the Shadows of Amn world. However once you leave a SoA town you will be back at the ToB world map.
Hit Control + Spacebar, then paste or type this into the Clua console:
CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR####")
The four hash signs represent a four digit area code. Infinity Explorer can give you this in its Worldmap section. Alternately you can press the X button when you are in the town concerned.

Yes, but you will need to know your base area numbers. The world map problem can't be fixed. So to go from Docks to Slums you would need the console.
Edit: you will only need the console as a replacement for the SoA world map. If the movement from one area to another required the world map in SoA then you will need the console. Conversely you won't need the console if you did not need the world map in SoA.

Numbers for base areas, and base areas only, are below:
Number Base area
0 Miscellany: Tutorial, City Gates, Combat maps.
100 There are no maps in this range.
200 Cult of the Unseeing Eye: 201 thru 206.
300 Docks
400 Slums
500 Bridge
600 Circus and Irenicus Dungeon
700 Waukeen's Promenade
800 Graveyard
900 Temple District
1,000 Government
1,100 Umar Hills
1,200 Windspear Hills
1,300 De Arnise Keep
1,400 Temple Ruins
1,500 Spellhold Asylum
1,600 Brynnlaw
1,700 Small Teeth Pass
1,800 North Forest
1,900 Druid Grove
2,000 Trademeet
2,100 Underdark
2,200 Ust Natha
2,300 Underwater City
2,400 (Three Underdark Dungeons)
2,500 Underdark Exit
2,600 Forest of Tethyr
2,700 (One Peaceful outdoor area)
2,800 Suldanesselar
2,900 Hell

There is no area 0200

If you explore Watcher's Keep in SoA you won't be able to access Cespenar in the ToB Pocket Plane. The Keep is full of items that only he can assemble into weapons and whatever. In SoA you can access the Pocket Plane, it is area 4500. It might be handy to travel to and from the Plane via console, otherwise you will mess up the storyline.
