hi there, im a new player, and now a huge fan of this game.  And, i need your help.  Why do i get the feeling that im not the only one with this problem...
ok, i just purchased Dragon Age Origins ULTIMATE and ive installed both disks.  But, all the extra content (altho shows up as 'installed' is not actually integrading with the game and im unable to play any of the quests or access the bonus content.
How do i make it work?

Have you redeemed the second code... the one for all the "extras" on disc 2?

yes, and the process 'looked' successful, but the extras don't blend in with the game.

Okay... you can check to make sure your DLC is registered on this page:

If they are, then you can check to see if the DAupdater service is running properly:

First thing is to reboot your computer. When that's done, launch the game and sit on the lobby screen (the one with the sword in the ground).

1) Hit CTRL-ALT-DEL, launch the Task Manager, and go to the "Process" tab
2) Look for a process called DAupdatersvc.service.exe

If it is there, then there is something else wrong. Consult this link:

-First off, ty Raen for taking the time to help me purchase a game (that i purchased 3 copies of - one for myself, sister and brother). REAL SHAME EA for releasing this without it working smoothly!

-I should also mention that i first purchased the ORIGINAL game last week, installed and entered the promo code for The Stone Prisioner. Then i loved the game so much i rushed out and purchased the Ultimate Edtion, uninstalled the first game and reinstalled both discs of the Ultimate Edition, and registered the Ultimate edition as well.

-i do NOT see DAupdatersvc.service.exe within the Process Tab.

-i also should point out that all of the 'extras' are showing up with a checkmark in the 'Installed' tab within the main menu, but about half of them are labeled 'UNAUTHORIZED'.

*update:

ok, apearently there is a bug where u MUST FULLY uninstall the ORININAL game (incl. ur characters and settings) if you are updating it with a Ultimate edition, then, reinstall it with the Ultimate Edition. (i actually did this before i came here to the forums, but i didnt uninstall the characters and game settings, so thats why it didnt work).

I was also really relieved and happy that my promo code registration continued to work after a second install IF you are logged into the 'Bioware Social Network' (this site).

The extras now LOOKS like everything is enabled and authorized within the main menu, so im hoping all is fixed now.
