I would sacrifice everyone on the ship to save the galaxy. Everyone on the Normandy is expendable if it stops the Reapers—no exceptions.

as a Talimancer, I would do it...

she's my favorite character and everything but it's 1 life at the cost of billions...

and it'd make a perfect excuse to make my Talimancing Shepard a solitary badass hermit for the rest of his remaining life, secluded in the house he built that was meant for Tali on the homeworld...

Can't you imagine him sitting alone in his room,  thinking no one is looking while he plays with his Commander Shepard action figure?  He'd pretend to have it beat up Garrus,  let out a big boisterus laugh and hide his toys under a big fluffy blanket when someone came in to see what's up.

Why not? He would have gladly killed Shepard if he hadn't found his enemies worthy enough to fight. (as he said when he first gets out of the tank.)

That's an oddly specific question... One may wonder why among the loads and loads of character you could choose you picked Tali specifically...

Anyway, as a Talimancer I'm probably biased to favour her slightly, but still if sacrificing her would mean saving trillions then "yes, I would".
Though in such a situation I'm quite certain she'd probably be the first one to argue in favour of saving the "many" rather than just her (you know, the quarian mind set "group before the individual")...

That said, I'm afraid that with a thread such as this you are looking to mainly four type of answers:

1) Tali haters, who obviously are going to sacrifice her (but they would have probably sacrificed her anyway even if it wasn't necessary, and likely did already in the SM) and will take the occasion to bash Tali (and her fans) scots free just because they can;
2) People who don't hate Tali but don't like her either/don't feel particularly attached to her, for whom the question is a no brainer: it would be the same as asking me "would you sacrifice Joe McRandom to save the galaxy?", if you have no emotional investment in a character this is not a difficult choice;
3) People who like Tali (maybe even mance her), but know that letting the galaxy die for one person is not worth it (unless you RP a traumatized Colonist/Sole Survivor who is terrified at the thought of losing any more of his friends, but still);
3) Intransigent fans of Tali, who would rather let the galaxy burn than sacrifice her, and would probably start arguing vehemently with group 1.

Rinse and repeat, with all the scale of answers in between these four...

So, assuming this was not an excuse to start a flame war, I'd humbly advise you to change the title to something more neutral like "would you sacrifice your LI/your favourite squaddie to save the galaxy?", rather than specifically targeting a single character...

Because really, I fear the risk of a flame war is high here... And that's assuming the mods don't make a prehentive strike to avoid the trouble and end up locking the thread...

Just my humble opinion anyway, hope I haven't offended anyone...

I really fail to see how any of my squadmates can hold the fate of the galaxy in their hands, and be pretty much more important than Shepard, so I'll say no.

God, this style of topic is as unendingly trite as the "I'm going to make a thinly-veiled reference to my dislike of Final Fantasy VII" ones on other corners of the internet. I don't get why people think it never stops being funny to beat dead horses.

Anyway, I'd sacrifice anyone -- myself included -- to save the galaxy IRL. I'd do the same thing in-game... with the in-game characters only, that is, haha.

Billions of humans? I'd save Tali.

Humans in Mass Effect are unbelievably bland, and have no distinctive traits.
