Liara T’Soni Nightmare Scenario: Liara breaks up with Shepard because she's so drunk with the power that comes with being the Shadow Broker that she starts to see Shepard as a "weakness". Her Shadow Broker work changes her personality so much that she and Shepard aren’t even friends anymore.
Kaidan Alenko Nightmare Scenario: Kaidan reunites with Rhana during his separation from Shepard, and even though Rhana is a TOTAL b¡tch, that "first love" thing blinds him to her flaws. Rhana turns out to be Indoctrinated and using Kaidan to get to Shepard, and Shepard has to kill her, completely alienating Kaidan.
Ashley Williams Nightmare Scenario: Abby, Lynn and Sarah Williams basically tell Ashley that Shepard, a Cerberus agent, is NOT welcome in their family (has she forgotten how hard they've worked to overcome Alliance prejudice against the Williams family?) and Ashley tearfully dumps Shepard.
Miranda Lawson Nightmare Scenario: Miranda reveals to Shepard that he has had a Cerberus control chip the entire time, that she lied when she said he didn’t, and that the only reason she slept with him was to reinforce Cerberus’ control over him.
Jacob Taylor Nightmare Scenario: Jacob becomes clingy and jealous, and picks a fight with every man Shepard talks to. Miranda tells Shepard that it was the exact same thing that happened between her and Jacob, and so Shepard has to dump Jacob. Jacob then becomes moody and angry.
Jack Nightmare Scenario: Jack becomes so freaked out by the intensity of her feelings for Shepard that she attacks Shepard, who has to kill her.
Thane Krios Nightmare Scenario: Shepard holds Thane’s hand as he’s gasping on his deathbed, and with his dying breath he whispers the name “Irikah”.
Garrus Vakarian Nightmare Scenario: This romance makes no sense to me. It’s already a nightmare scenario as far as I’m concerned.
Tali’Zorah vas Normandy Nightmare Scenario: Same as above to an extent, but really the nightmare scenario is that Tali dies from having sexual contact with Shepard, and the Admiralty refuse to listen to Shepard’s pleas for help with the Reapers after he foolishly risked Tali’s life. They’ll chastise him for all the quarian children Tali would have had, but can’t now because she’s DEAD. Tali was an impressionable young girl, only two years past her Pilgrimage, and Shepard took advantage and got her killed.

While we're at it, it's probably worth mentioning that IGN's latest preview seemed to hint that the "conflict" between any two love interests in the case of a love triangle will be continual, as it is apparently resolved by the end of the game, as opposed to early on as I had personally originally presumed.
I'm not sure if that's a good thing; I really don't want this to be high school all over again when I import my "cheating" Shepard.

The scene is set, romantic music cues in, the LI starts undressing on the bed, ready & willing to do whatever your heart's desire may be...
