I don't think so. I checked it on Steam and it will unlock in 26 August.

23rd. Steam says it unlocks in 1 day and 8 hours from now.

Wait, what? I thought it was being released on the 25th
That's what EB is telling me and Wikipedia.

Its different in different regions. 23rd in North America, 26th in Europe. Not sure about other regions, but if EB is saying 25th then thats probably right.

Ah yes, I forgot about the different regions, thing. 25th is the Australian release date:P

Just ordered from D2D, and it says I have to download a third party client, wtf?

You might regret doing that......

What third party client? It doesn't say which one.

Reviews are coming in and looking good. I like the Rock paper Shotgun review which loves the game but goes into some of the drawbacks of it such as nonsensical boss fights where even if you go into the fight with non lethal weapons you wind up killing the boss, and the game isn't reactive at all if you choose to be rather extreme in the way you play the game, namely killing everyone in sight.

Gametrailers review worried me a bit talking about slightly ropey AI which for me can ruin a game like this. I've seen a couple of other reviews that contradict this though. So I'm slightly confused and will have to wait and see.

If the whole game is the same quality as the beta or better, I'll be happy. The boss fights will probably be annoying but its looking like they did a damn good job on most everything else.

Yea though I hate having to kill bosses. I've also read that eventually npc stop commenting on your actions which is something I like too bad it doesn't last long.

Heh...yeah, even in the beta if you go into the woman's bathroom somebody will take note of that later on. Thought that was pretty funny.

I'd rather not have to install anymore 3rd party nonsense, I already have to put up with GFWL.

I always seem to be really cynical about this stuff, but I just booted up the game a bit ago, and I have to say, I have the settings up to the point where the framerate occasionally gets stuttery on my fairly up-to-date mid-range rig. The graphics still have got nothing on Half-Life 2, a game released 7 years ago. Certainly nowhere near Crysis 2 or Black Ops. I still fully plan on enjoying the hell out of the game, I just was expecting a little more. Guess I should have been following the game more closely.

If you're going to put up with one 3rd party system, Steam would be the one to deal with.

The graphics on a technical level certainly are not anything to write home about. It would be nice if they were better, but the art style is solid and its not like the original Deus Ex was very nice looking graphically anyway.

:)That's definitly a wink to the original DX and JC's naughty behaviour at UNATCO HQ.

Hey, to people who played it already , how are the loading time? I heard they are extremely long, even for quick loads. That sounds bad because I ususally load quite a bit if I don't like how things are going.

Oh dam, still have to wait 2 weeks or so for my import copy to get here. Guess I'll play through the first DX again in the meantime.

Loading times are fairly long on my pc, but I've been spoiled by TW2. Graphics are pretty good, character models not so great. I like the combat. AI seems sharp in regard to stealth, and they don't miss much. I like the cover system as well, it works smoothly. I'll be diving in this weekend. Seems promising so far.

Loadtimes are painfully long due to reloading everything every time. Its my only real complaint so far. Game runs fine once loaded but even a quickload or loading the last autosave when you die takes forever.

The load times haven't been too bad. At most on my PC they've been ~20-30 seconds or shorter. I think its mostly that even at normal difficulty Jensen can die pretty quickly if you get out in the open in a fight or if you want to try a different approach you'll likely be loading more than in other games.

Just want to let everybody know that this game sucks balls. It's a generic Splinter Cell Conviction wannabe.

I cant wait for Friday! I dont know too much about the game becuase I was purposly not thinking about it and avoiding it so I wouldn't ruin it for myself. It's getting really hard to do that now it's getting released Friday (UK)
