PS.: Just a tip. Don't use any of the codes you find before trying to hack them all. Save it for when all hack attempts fail. The items and xp rewards are well worthy the trouble! Hack the Planet!

You should run up behind a guard and press Q. They will likely hear you, start to turn around and say something like "hey, what the the--" before Jensen lays them out with an overhand right. Fun times.
I'm more the silently crouching from behind type... hehe and then holding Q from a lethal takedown! lol .. just kidding... I'm a pacifist! =)
Someone please spoil me. Does Jensen get to do some "hacking" with Malik later in the game? She's too hawt!

I use the awsd keys to navigate and mouse to select/capture the nodes. We can also use some help with the process like Nukes and Viruses. Spend some points on hacking skills to decrease the chance of detection. When I get detected early, I quit and restart. We have a number of attempts depending on the level of difficulty. If we get detected, there's a cooldown period before we can try again. Even if I found the code or password I'll still try and hack it because of the xp and items rewards. (items being some credits, extra xp or nuke and virus software).
And there's always a device we can buy and use to break the protection of some stuff with a hacking difficulty higher than our skill level. =)

I'm a pacifist until someone gets between me and my goal. If I can use he stun gun or a knockout I will, but otherwise they're getting a shotgun blast to the face.

I fear I may have killed too many people for that, she does seem to oppose the killing. I suppose the internet might have it somewhere.

-I found that mapping the cover key to the keyboard was easier than having it on the mouse. Constantly pressing both mouse buttons durng combat is kind of a strain for my gnarly fingers.
-Ammo is damn sparse in the beginning.
-Line of sight detection from the AI is very accurate. You need to take hiding and cover seriously.

One problem I found though is that I can't complete a few of the sidequests I've got because of my augmentation selections. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough for alternate routes yet.

Capture the nodes on the path to the target one before being detected. No need to capture others not on the path but, there are some nodes that have rewards, some that will slow down or even make impossible the detection and some that will reduce/increase the adjacent nodes level.

I think that makes it a little more clearer for me, thanks. And yes, I have unlocked that hacking tool thanks to my pre-order codes.

I've just set it to Toggle i/o Hold in the Options/Gameplay/Controls. The in/off cover thing I mean. As for combat, big guns are a pain early on because of the recoil and low accuracy thing. I trained with Pistol and usually get the cursor to red while aiming at the heads of my targets before using the direction keys to position and shoot them while still in cover. Headshots rules! A few upgrades on accuracy and recoil and the combat rifle works just as smoothly! =)
One weird thing though. When I disable someone and the animation clearly shows Jensen breakign their arms, if they are awaken by their mates, they are restored as if nothing had happened! They should have a broken arm! hehehe

Kinda funny, since TW2 did exactly the same thing. Lets hope those don't belong to Adam

Lol. Rename this thread '1000 yrs: a history of dildos'.
LOL. That's one of the things I loved about this game since the beta. The story is cool and all but it's the small details. Lots of them. Lots of secret locations, different ways to get things done, all with some kind of rewards too, even if it is just some images of dil..err.. devices.
And the funny e-mails! I mean, does anyone here never received an e-mail about some 40 million USD in Nigeria that they needed our help to clear someway and we should get a share of it? I think it's really funny that even in future where Jensen is they're still trying that scam! LOL
(PS.: Plus it's amazing how many dirty secrets one can find when hacking through some office computers... late night coffee? hawt! =)
