Hi All!

Not sure if this one is a known issue or not, but doing the Final fight in Origins, my game crashes to desktop after the new ruler waves to the crowd in the cutscene.

The weird part is, this only happens if it wasn't my Warden who laid the killing blow. I tested this thoroughly (and am now awesome at the fight :D), and every time one of my companions made the killing strike, the game crashed to desktop during the cutscene.

As this is the only real bug I've encountered in DAO, I would like to know if it just a me thing, or if others have suffered it?

(Attempted on Ultimate and Collectors' Editions (Patch 1.04), on multiple computers with different save files. Haven't included my stat's cause all three rigs are different.)

Thanks All!

Hi Raen,

The only mod I use is the one for the Ancient Elven Booties. I tried pulling it and running through on a mod-less Warden, but no dice.
It's not a major issue, more of an annoyance. None of my brethren have made it to the last fight, so I was wondering if I was alone... Maybe my game just doesn't like red-haired wardens?

Thanks!

Sounds like a random corrupt file since it's only crashing in a single situation repetatively and mods aren't the issue. You could try a reinstall and see if that fixes it. Often with a corrupt or missing file a quick reinstall solves it. is it download or retail? out of curiosity. Normally i find it's the downloadable version that have the most issues with random files going AWOL or not working right.

Thanks Moondoggie,

Both the UE and the CE are retail. I like hardcopies for some reason. I'll try the re-install on my alt rig and see if that helps... Although, would I be better off starting a fresh character in that case? Or can I trust my save files?

Thanks!
