You have Reave, use it. You can get a Sniper, use it. You can get the Phalanx, use it.
And honestly, I don't understand how someone wants to use something other than charge OUT OF COVER once your cooldown's over. It's signing your own death warrant unless:
a) you charge when there is only one guy alive or some thing close to such a situation;
B) you're playing below insanity.

Either case means you're not playing the Vanguard the way Christina Norman and her team envisioned it, and in a non-efficient way.

could u edit or post another reply i didnt understand that in the slightest =/ idk who said change it i only said add a offensive biotic ability that deals damage how in the world is that game changing?

Vanguards are feared for their high-risk high-reward combat style, closing quickly on enemies and destroying them at close range with weapons and biotic abilities.

now read my editied post above i want a offensive biotic ability that does damage it can either be used close ranged or at range or both idc i just want 1.

More or less... Early, when you have less effective weapons, it can be used to counter Krogan natural regeneration with the damage per sec, but later on I never recall actually using it, unless it's from a squaddie...

oi.....ive alrdy said i charge if they are out of my shotty range ALWAYS but i use reave when im alrdy in CQC since it cc's destroys defences and heals me and damages them. second this is about ME 3. and all because i dont play a class some1 wants me to play it doesn't mean i'll change just to please them.

You really are serious about this aren't you? This thread does not matter what so ever in the making of ME 3. i was simply sharing my ideas on what I yes me I myself want for vanguard in me 3. yet here u go all nerdrage on me because i suggest a offensive biotic for vanguard. as for the losing side of this thread. Your arguing with some1 you dont even know on the internet over what space magic a class in a fictional RPG where we kill machine gods from outer space that eat life and turn them into more machine gods. Now think about this for a little bit a see who is really losing here. I come to share ideas then game ****'s like u try to shoot em all down. sad Image IPB

If you want a ranged biotic attack get Reave.. it isn't Warp.. but it is very similar..

You don't have to charge every cooldown.. Pull Field or Slam has a 3s cooldown and is ranged..

Strip + Pull Field
Strip + Reave
Strip + Slam/Pull + Warp

Two are on very short cooldowns (3s) by the time the whole sequence is completed you can charge..while things are still in CC.. Reave they will be coming right out of it soon as you can charge..

If you want to use a variety of biotics.. I suggest a Shotgun Adept with Stasis and Singularity.. you can still play CQC and fast.. but you use two powerful CCs to control the battlefield while you biotic combo your way through the game :).

warp in ME 1 was used for debuff not damage its damage was ok but +75% damage was what it was used for.

Yeah i got reave in ME 2 on my vanguard and i really like it i was just giving some ideas in case it isn't in ME 3Image IPB

also i've tried shotgun adept but Vanguard is my fav class i like charging with shoties and pulling the trigger but i also like to throw a biotic every now and then u know

Barrier's not a bad idea, actually. I could get into that, more defense would be useful. Throw.. ugh I just hate throw but perhaps if it was evolved to be better and sentinels/adepts got a new power to make up for the change.

Your right i did want a opinion but your just fighting with me. Like i said ur taking this thread to seriously. I just want a offensive biotic ability that does damage for my vanguard and somehow it is a crime worse then murder to u. At that point u just need to leave the thread for a bit and cool off.

Disruptor ammo is definitely handy but.. I've grown too accustomed to incendiary + SMG for armour stripping.

I wonder how many/which weapons vanguard will have in ME3? I'm guessing 3.. smg, pistol, shotgun. Maybe we can have assault rifles as well but I prefer my Claymore.

BTW  Soliders = 4 Guns
           Vanguard/Infil = 3 Guns
            Adept/Sentinel/Engineer = 2 Guns

     You choose any gun you want. Vanguard could choose shotgun, AR and SR thats what they said so far

If you give Vanguards too many biotic powers, then what you'll get is an Adept with a shotgun.

Last I checked, Shockwave was a blue ball that could be thrown at the enemy. I quite like it actually, especially on grouped together husks that have been armour stripped. It's fun to watch them go flying and fall off platforms.
