OP answer me why would you play in range with class that is specifically made for CQC?

Most of the time im in CQC but i never use charge while in CQC i always use a direct damaging biotic for the extra damage reave was perfect because it offered benefits aswell as damage such as heal and health boost and CC and could be used at range if wanted. I onyl charge when they are out of my range wof shotty.

You have no idea how to play Vanguard.

But to answer your question sometimes I just want to throw a ball of blue space magic into a collector's bug face whats so bad about that?

You have Sentinel and Adept for that?

Mesina stop being negative will ya, for all you know i probably play better then u (which is prob true) but im not gonna get into to that guess this thread is about people who name themselves after fail comedians who post useless stuff.

And the OP avoids the question yet again. Anyone got some popcorn they want to share?

Last I checked, Shockwave was a blue ball that could be thrown at the enemy. I quite like it actually, especially on grouped together husks that have been armour stripped. It's fun to watch them go flying and fall off platforms.

I always thought of them as explosions but yea shockwave has good potential to be a pretty cool power if they buff the damage and maybe ( my idea no dev's said this) destroy cover or go through shields.

All classes will have exclusive melee attacks in ME3, so it might compensate for the Vanguard's lack of effective biotic powers other than Charge.

Dear OP, the class you wish to play is not called Vanguard.

Love,
Leo

PS: Thanks for that lulz, brightened my morning.

You like to have Throw but you think Shockwave needs a damage buff? Can you explain that coz for all I know there is no difference in damage between the two - in fact they don't inflict any direct damage at all.

Anyway offensive biotic attack for vanguard isn't a stretch Solider/adept hybrid is not Solider/Charge

Vanguard is NOT Soldier/Adept hybrid!

It's Combat/Biotic hybrid! Big difference!

I gave up on throw a while ago decided it WAS dumb but shockwave and throw do do direct damage but it is very small. Newton damage is eratic sometimes throw can 1 shot sometimes it hardly causes any damage it depends on enviroment u are in at the time.

FWIW, Heavy and Improved Shockwave are offensive biotic attacks (I prefer Improved but to each their own).

I also used Slam as my bonus power, upgraded to Heavy slam, which is also an offensive biotic ability.

These two plus staggering from Charge help with crowd control in addition to doing damage.

I think the vanguard is fine as it is now. You want warp or throw, pick it as your bonus power. You want warp and throw, play adept. I don't know why would a vanguard use throw though. You want to get closer to the enemies, but throw hurls them away from you.

I think Vanguards should get a new Biotic Attack.

Biotic Chicken.

Shoots a powerful chicken shaped Biotic Attack at an enemy that burrows deep inside them and pecks at their insides.

Stfu it's totally viable :(

Isn't it possible to create biotic fields inside a guy? Because that would be awesome.

I said offensive biotic ability that does damage and when i said damage i meant more then then a single bullet from a SMG thats not shockwave unless they buff it in ME 3 then i will be happy

I might be wrong but I believe that's what Warp is supposed to do...
It creater a violently shifting mass effect field (in a manner similar to disruptor torpedoes) that shreds the victim tissues and insides on contact, thus it damages pretty much everything (only shields are not affected because unlike disruptor torpedoes Warp has no actual mass of its own)...

I think it only has mass effect fields OUTSIDE the body otherwise how would warp explosions happen? Rapidly shifting mass field on another mass field causes big boom i guess i aint no scientistImage IPB

In a Warp bomb, Warp never actually hits its target, it hits the mass effect field surrounding said target and detonates it due to the instability it causes, basically you turn you enemy in a "living" disruptor torpedo...
I was talking about unprotected enemies in my post, after all the deep cellular damage to a creature insides is what stops krogan and vorcha regeneration... ;P

Though as I said I may be wrong... :/
