I didn't play DA:O for one day.

Now when I try to launch it , it tells me :

The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000906). Click OK to close the application.

I haven't installed any new mods , so I have no idea what causes it.

You wouldn't happen to be running Avast anti-virus, would you? Apparently it, and a handful of other less well known antivirus programs have erroneously concluded that one of the .dll files is a Trojan. There are directions for how to fix it in this thread: http://social.biowar...8/index/7533568

If not, could you provide the information listed in the "before anything" thread pinned to the top of the forum? It's difficult to even begin to guess at an answer without it.

I fixed my DA:O by doing that :

Go to : C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age 2\\bin_ship , copy the nxcharacter.dll from DA II folder to :

C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship

Actually, Sami, since new arrivals always seemed totally blind to the threads named "Read this first", I had tried a new variation, which hasn't proven a bit more effective, as a sticky on top of the DA2 PC Tech forum. Raen's thread for the same thing reverted to the usual "Read first" when he posted it in this forum.

There'd been a useless thing with a similar title when he replaced that with his:
