I've played the game through a few times. I'm trying to make a new bloodmage, and I'm at the part where you need to save the Earl's son from the demon in the fade. I'm supposed to be able to strike a deal with her and gain a talent (i.e. spell) but when I select that option, after the cut scene, I have no level up option. Did I screw something up?

I'm pretty sure you can't choose the specialization until you actually level up. I had a specialization point available on Leliana, but I couldn't use it until I used a tome that gave her a skill point.

Also, are you level 7/14?
