Many may not give a crap, but I wanted to share some triumphs of my second play through so far...
I am approaching the Final Battle, and am VERY happy with some of the corrections I made in my PC as well as building my companions - Morrigan especially... I had no idea about spell combinations, utilizing mind blast in concert with my rogue, having Wynne in the party, or how ridiculously awesome SM and MC are... That made life MUCH easier - Shattering, SotC, etc. Revenants became VERY beatable My City Elf Rogue was a much better build too I think, except I effed up and got the second set of Drake skin before I could grab the Felons Coat... Fang was a bit of disappointment though, I thought it would scale better... Anyway, just thout I'd share... This forum has helped a lot!
Wow, second time through MUCH better!

Great, the game does have a lot under the hood. Some of us played it for well over a year, still finding new stuff.

There's a mod to make fang better, but you have to install it before you're given the dagger in-game. I was really disappointed by it first time, since I put quite a high value on RP items (I was still using Adaia's Boots from the Origin) but a weapon slot is pretty prime real-estate to 'waste', but I used the modded version all the way to the end of Witch Hunt.

I'll have to look into those for next time... I'm most likely going to purchase Ultimate and have a go at all the DLC's and other goodies...

Yes, Origins feels much easier, and should be an overall smoother experience after the second playthrough and beyond.
During the first playthrough, many people will die often and struggle with tactics, but will eventually be finishing the game with minimal or zero injuries, and doing solo runs on nightmare difficulty. The main challenge with Origins comes from just learning how to play the game.

Agreed... It was, however refreshing to have a steeper learning curve...I'm one of those DnD dinosaurs from waaaay back (2nd edition) so Icewindale, Baldur's Gate series and the NWN's weren't too difficult, but Origins was like nothing I've played tactically, GREAT stuff!

I also liked the tactical feel of Origins.
I'm used to playing console rpgs, especially the japanese kind, and so Origins was different and fun at the same time. Too bad Bioware had to go all "hack and slash" with DA2. I'd like to see more rpgs like Origins.
