 I heard if you do a certain mission before getting Sigrun you can't do her loyalty quest. I have Awakening for x-box so is there any way around this.

Avoid speaking to Aidan, after the initial time when the game forces you to. The quest, Law and Order, is the one that prevents triggering her personal quest. Supposedly, starting Smuggler's Run also prevents her quest from starting. Just avoid speaking to either npc until you finish her quest.
