I watched DBZ, Pokemon, every superhero show in the 90's, Transformers, Rugrats.

I currently watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, and Ponies.

Funny how old dub DBZ was made into a perfect kid's show for the west but as you get older, boy it's not as good.

DBZ Kai is no good, the orginal show nothing was wrong with, well minus the changes, but meh just watch it subbed we have the "technology" to do so now.

I remember crowding around the TV on saturday morning with my bro and a box of cereal, and we would watch some Mystery Science Theatre 3000 or one of them ol' Godzilla movies on the sci-fi channel. I was also in love with Justice League, I thought Batman and that one hawk chick were the best! hmmm, others were, and still are...

Lol speaking of Godzillia LOVED those films as a kid hand the toys and stuff, but yeah, anyone remember the Cartoon show though stupid and the guy looked like Dr Quest (ah yeah Johnny Quest another good one) it had a great opening. (this is OLD like in the 70's-80's, not the 90's show)

Kai was to fix the fillers that DBZ had and be a true Manga to Anime show but Toei did everything wrong with that, like how they skip past the first 16 books(the first Dragon Ball show) and still had some of the same bad filler and by the time Kai got to the Cell arc it should have been at the Boo arc, oh and not to forget no Boo arc at all.<_<

I didn't bother watching it after they rushed Goku's training given that was a rather funny filler. And yeah I don't see the big deal over the original. I mean yes they bleed etc. Still having been in an anime fan club we had lots of talks on the Us Dubs, versus Japanese originals, and I can't think of any show that was choped up as much as Sailor Moon, or in the Case of Robotech a crap load of shows stuck in the blender to make it.

JL, the only anime I'd been exposed to for the longest time was Ghost In The Shell. It wasn't a big part of my childhood or teenage years; I think that's why I never quite got into it. Naruto is okay, though. I honestly can't think of anything else I have or would watch.

Cardcaptor Sakura and the 4Kids dub of One Piece were the worst dubs of any Anime ever that's a fact. With Cardcaptor Sakura they dropped the Sakura part of the name to make it into a boy's show and they start with episode 7(the main boy character shows up in the episode). Episodes got skip and shown out of order, no one could say the Japanese names right the only good thing about the guys who did the dub was they back in the day put it out on VHS uncut with subs.

As for the 4Kids dub of One Piece well I could go on and on about it but I will not, instead have this link to a site with all the carp they did to the poor show.

Ugh... I try to forget Cardcaptor Sakura was dubbed. Totally agreed it was a travesty. The one time a Clamp story makes it to network TV and they trash it. I was not surprised when ratings petered out shortly after the first season. That was a mercy killing.

No...just no, stop. Just stop....that show was ruined on so many levels that even just thinking about the bastarized music it had just...depressing. Nevermind the changes to the Crew that were unwarrented. And CS yeah I knew about that. Back at TTV we called 4Kids what Obi Wan did Mos Eisley They turned everything they touch into crap. With few exceptions. Unless Manga Corps, Genom, and a few others arn't doing the dubb I won't watch it.

Funimation is hit or miss really. I've seen some bad shows from them (when they are cheap) or pretty great one's when they actully put money on it. But still not close to the big ones.  But 4kids....thats like....hmm. Saying your going to eat some pasta, and really its something you just threw in the microwave with just the same picture.

No matter if its called the same, it won't look or taste as well, as cooking it to by hand. But it says its the same on the box. You go to 4kids when you want the cheapest rates. Minus the god aweful voices at least they didn't screw up Naruto much while they had it...dunno if they make the shepuden dub still though...don't keep up with Naruto anymore.
