I recently looked over the story line of ME: Evolution and this absolutely ticked me off.  The history of Saren's past is nearly retconned and here is why.

Okay, in ME1 we are told by Anderson that Saren had a brother that fought and supposedly died in the First Contact War, and that his death was the reason for Saren's hatred towards humans.  Yeah...Evolution completely ignored and disregarded all this.

Here are the problems:
1) Desolus(Saren's brother) survived the war and was a high ranked military figure.

2)Desolus was indoctrinated by a reaper artifact and Saren himself KILLED Desolus by blowing up a Turian temple with Desolus inside the structure, NOT Jack Harper(The Illusive Man) or ANY HUMAN for that matter.  Therefore, there is absolutely NO REASON for Saren to "hate" humans other than bear a slight grudge like any regular turian.

Yes I know that Anderson only told us what he knew out of a rumor, but some consistency would have been nice.

Not only can we blame Dark Horse for bad artwork in ME comics, but now for their complete stupidity in their writing.

All the more reason as to why I should henceforth refer to ME: Evolution as ME: DE-Evolution.  Bad writing and story telling on an EPIC FAILURE of a level and a complete "F' YOU" to the characterization of our favorite reaper helping turian himself.  F***ING Garbage!
<_<

Its horribly horrifying how any lack of consistensy to ME, there is in ME2 and in the comics, it almost seems that no one is left from the original team.

Silly Krogan, the comics and other reading not from the source material (in-game info) is non-canon attempts at making money off of you. Just look at Marvel's pathetic explanation about 'infinite earths' just to say 'hey, none of our comics ever had any plot holes!' xD

This was humanity's first galactic war. To our eyes, it could have lasted longer.

But it was a human who threw him against the artifact which was found on a human colony. Saren could rationalize that, had the humans never appeared, his brother would still be alive.

1.Anderson stated that and it was just a speculation. Just like he didn't mention the real reason he didn't become a spectre.

2. The whole human hating thing was also a speculation as well. Based on Seran's thoughts and actions in ME:Revelations, you can clearly see he has a hate for all non-turians and anything out of order.

And besides, their other things that are a problem with the time like of the story...Like Seran is 18 at the time of the first contact war.....He has no younger brother, only older ones.

I think the writers need to have a list of things that are already set in stone and stick to them, at this rate, ME universe will be totally discombobulated.
