Hello,

So heres my "story" if you will.

I had Nwn2 and MOTB installed and running perfectly, when i decided to download SoZ.
I had to close the SoZ installation for various reasons, then i shut off the computer.
I came back home later that evening and prepared to install SoZ again, however, it said "Must have a copy of Nwn2 installed" Or something along the lines of that.
I already had Nwn2 installed, but i shrugged and entered the original Nwn2 disc.

Thats when the first error popped up; Error Launching Game.
I could not autorun the game. It won't even go to the installation screen.
I fixed this by using the setup file instead of autorun, but i still dont understand why it did this.

Second Error; Invalid CD Key.
I double and even triple checked my cd key before entering it. It still said invalid.
I deleted the nwncdkey.ini folder and continued on my merry way.

Third Error; DirectX Error. (String Error?)
Finally the installation was complete. But as it "verified directX installation" ANOTHER error came up saying, ERROR_DX_ something or other.  The gane installed however, so i ignored this. (Will this cause problems?)

Fourth Error; Motb?
I had finally got my precious Nwn2 installed again. So i entered my MOTB disc and prepared to download that...
but when i put it in, It just takes me straight to the nwn2 game with only the OC available to choose. No Motb installation screen or anything. I made sure MOTB wasnt already installed. It wasnt. I have no clue what to do about this problem, and all the problems above more than annoyed me.

Im running on Windows 7 as administrator, and my goal is to get a perfect, error free installation so i can play my favorite game. Please anyone reply to this topic. Advice is MUCH appreciated. Thank you.

Uninstall everything NWN2 reboot and start installing again from step 1... never close an installation process before it's completed.

Even this might not be enough, in which case I personally don't know what to suggest specifically as a next step.

i Can only report rumor : without Dx9 in there seamlessly a player might go up half the Campaign with no issues .. then, bam.

I encourage ya to go for that perfect install until ya get it ( then cherish it )
