So s/he has an heir to the legacy if s/he doesn't survive ME3.Homey C-Dawg wrote...
How about after ME3 rather than in? I could think of more fitting endings to the trilogy than Shepard playing with a baby.

Both sheps don't need to have the choice to have kids.
(Like DAO only male Wardens could have a kid with Morrigan.)

I'd much, much rather they worked on about half a million or more other things first, though.

Maybe spreading your DNA around the galaxy is your idea of a fantastic thing for Manshep in ME3 but I hardly think Femshep feels like slogging through 9 months of pregnancy while there's Reapers to defeat.
Femshep should be able to fight during initial period of pregnancy. Otherwise, outer-body pregnancy exist in ME?

"SCREENING AND THERAPY: Most governments provide free assessments and corrective therapy for genetic diseases in prospective parents. This has nearly eliminated everything from cystic fibrosis to nearsightedness. The earlier screening and therapy is performed, the more comprehensive the results. Though ideally performed on artificially fertilized zygotes in a lab, procedures are available for embryos in the womb and newborns, out of respect for personal beliefs."

Sure. Gonna get a lot of people complaining about how their Shepard got 'ninja-pregnancy'd' though.
Realism. People get ninja-pregnancy'd all the time in RL.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

What about the others? Wouldn't be fair to them...adoption is always nice, though!

If that's what rocks your boat, like... if that's really, truly, 100%, unequivocally what your definition of a good gameplay addition would be, then sure... here's hoping they throw it in there for you.

This.
And as SilentNukee points out, not all LIs are biologically compatible for such a feature so it couldn't possibly be fair for everyone.

Please stop with the marriage/kids threads. They make me cry. And when I cry, people die. Go write a fanfic about it, if you want. But please stop with the threads.

I'm going by the unwritten rule that all kids in video games are annoying as hell.
