Sucks that Morrigan cant come with you on this because she is my best Mage, Wynne is more of a healer and not much else...I keep her out of the action, I'm thinking about using SHALE as my tank, My guy either as a long range attacker and who else? Should I used another long range attacker and just use Shale as my main guy attacker her close up?

I almost beat her already but she is posing some trouble, I think if I have enough Potions I should be able to use Shale and just beat on her while my ranged guys are steadily attacking her, thats if Wynne doesnt die too early on and she cant heal us...which would ruin this theory.

Had Flemeth down to about a 1/4 health left then I died....did a lot better than the first time though when I only did about 1/4 damage to her before I died so I am making strides and I think I will beat her in the next time or two.

Any other suggestions for me?

WOuld be appreciated, thanks in advance :D

Shale is undoubtedly the best tank you can have, especially with the large fire crystals for the added protection. I'd bring Wynne, Leliana (bow), Shale & your character.

Come on! If you're going to post spoilers in the non-spoiler forum, at the very least don't put a major spoiler in the title!

Usually, the first thing I do is switch to the tank and rush up to Flemeth and have her turn around so she doesn't hit the rest of the party with her fire attacks. Then, I'll have the rest of the party stand still, using the hold command, using ranged attacks. After that, it just comes down to keeping the tank alive, while the rest of the party does damage from range.

The later you do this fight, the easier it should be, as you can come across equipment that will boost magic resistance, especially fire. Any of the Wade's Superior armor sets are ideal for the tank to wear.

Also, if the rest of the party members are built well, it shouldn't matter if Wynne sticks to healing spells, as you don't need a full squad of damage dealers unless you are going for a speed run through the game.

You've got the right idea - one tank (ideally Shale) and the rest at range. Spread the ranged characters out so one fire spit from Flemeth won't damage all of them. Also, large fire crystals with small ice crystals for Shale and warmth balms for everyone else help a great deal. Should be fairly easy like this.

Actually, Flemeth, scary as she is, has a MAJOR weakness: She won't move. If you solo the battle, a simple bow or mague staff, and lots of potions for the dragon flame, will be enough -it will be certainly easier with a high DEX archer or a mage who can cast Storm of the Century over and over, but others will simply take longer and need more potions.

Here's my dragon fight group:
Me - Warrior - Damager
Leliana - Rouge - Damager
Alistair - Warrior - Tank
Wynne/Morrigan - Mage - Healer

I only ever had to use potions against archdemon.

.:Tactic:.
Control the mage and stay out of the fight, keep a good few Lyrium potions handy. Keep casting spells like lightning, freeze and so on, no friendly-fire spells.
When you see one person in the group has 50% or less health, use individual heal, but if other people are damaged use group heal. Revive could ge pretty useful at times. Just keep an eye on the squad's health meters and you shouldn't have to use it.
