Yeah. I hope the advantages are more significant in ME3. As somone else said, 10% bonuses and up. "And Up" is an important part. We should feel like we're getting more powerful when we get new armor. And stuff like storm speed should be like 25%. Like you put on high-tech running-leg armor and you should feel it.

Also anyone think more of the armor should like, give you armor? Or increase your durability. It seamed like half of the armor never improved your health, shields, etc...

Considering how armor doesn't function like armor and the stats aren't all that great to help you survive I don't bother with any but a few scant pieces. Right now I'm using texmod to add armors that I'd prefer over armors that came as DLC or are included in the base game.

Currently I have how many suits stored that I don't use at all. If there were an active inventory system in the game I'd keep seeing them every time I want to get something out. That and I'll keep wondering when those pieces will be of any actual use to me during the course of the game.

I go for looks. Every. Single. Playthrough.

The game is surprisingly easy, even on insanity. The stats don't really make much of a difference.

I tend to go for a blend of the two. For example, I want to be able to see my character's face and avoid helmets that dramatically cover the head.

On the other hand, I also want to not die a gruesome and horrible death.

I'm shallow...^_^....purely for looks, full kestrel with Harrots visor....default helmet, don't like the kestrel helmet...fussy with the colors and patterns and spent hours getting Sheps face just the right level of eye candy for me....

I always go for form over function. I never wear any full armor or headgear because I like to see Shepard's face and I hate a lot of the armor options so I usually stick with the N7 pieces.

The Kestrel Shoulders actually look nice imo, but I generally use the KF chest plate ( the one with the large plate in front of the neck, the speed boost legs, the 5% damage boost arms, and the Death Mask on manShep.

Yay for mods that allow casual clothes to be worn in combat. *points at avatar*

Looks. Duh. Stats make no difference anyway.

Style in ME2. Most of the stats don't really have much of an effect on gameplay. Hopefully, the weapon mods will.

I think the blood dragon armor looks great for the male Shepard body model, It seems to fit it better then it does for the female body model. I mean the female body model seems a bit to narrow at the waist. I go with a mixture of blues, greens, reds, and black. I try to make all the colors blend well.

The Cerberus armor seems kinda angular, made me think that my Shepard was encased in a box. lol
But since I play on a console I can't benefit from the mods you PC players can.

I noticed something that made no sense. The colors that are seen in the armory are not always that same as what is seen in the game.

That's true in the case of some colors, depending on the lighting (like that shiny purple color that doesn't always look shiny), but that black with the gloss look that you can set from the material setting just looks so all around badass for that armor combo in game.

I always choose fashion over form for my FemShep. I hate all of the facial obstructing helmet pieces, I spend forever creating the look of my FemShep, so why would I want to hide it with a helmet?

Never understood why there are so many selections for making the armor looking shiny, or just dull, guess it is suppose to add to the astetics of the color scheme for the armor.

Not happy that they didn't bother adding a plate for the mouth on the Kestral Helm, so I get stuck with the plain old N7 style helm, while that is not game breaking in any way, it just seemed a bit sloppy in terms visiuals in non breathable places. I mean they did have those breathing masks for Samara and others, why not use that.

that is very true. armor is totally pointless except to look cool. I really hope they bring back a purpose for it in ME3.

The texture setting on the armor are great, and I wish there were even more color options (think Fallout 3's RGB system).

Looks. Every Single. Time.

I despise heavy looking armor, especially as my favorite classes are adept and infiltrator. I may sound like a broken record, but I think heavy looks fine on combat-oriented classes, not so much on stealthy or tactical.

So. Mods for me, always :). I miss light armor options from ME1 :(.

The only armor piece I put on for stats is the ordinance packs so I can have 2 cain shots on the end boss. That fight is so absurdly tedious anything to speed it up is appreciated. Otherwise I don;t care and just make it look okay.

Generally I go for style, although I found that many of the pieces I choose for my favourite class actually look ok.

I love that Asari Commando armor.  It seems we're borrowing a physique rather than using Shepard's physique.  I could be wrong.

I wish I knew how to include that armor and move the Gladiator armor from casual to regular armor in Maxatv's coalesced.ini so I don't have to use special keys to access it.  Just pick it up in the armor locker.

@ Xeranx:

I've posted some instructions on how to get that armor as a TorsoAppearance piece on another thread a while back.
If you care to deal with some manual .ini editing, look up here.  It's 4th post on the page :).

Looks... Never used Kestrel Helmet, and I only keep Kestrel Greaves up until the point I can buy the Sirta Foundation ones... Always thought that union looked badass, even if I trade assorted bonuses for a minor boon to health...
