Ditto! While i'm not a material person, it matters to me what "i" look like.

DLC armors are the stupidest things ever I say no to helmets. I go for the holy crap its Shepard run look. My armor looks the way I like for the class. Colors are red and black always.

the armor is meant to be redutant so we can dress our shepards like barbies. so yeah after a while i stopped giving the smallest damn about the stats. the fact we don't even see the base stat the 5% is added on proves Bioware didn't think about it

i hope it changes and uber armor really is uber armor in ME3

Since armor stats don't change or affect much, I go for style only by using a TexMod that give me ME1 Mantis / Predator M style armor. I think it looks much more fitting on an infiltrator than the ME2 N7 heavy modular armor.

Mix here, though as has been said multiple times, the stats don't matter much. Love me some extra ammo though, even if it is just one shot on the sniper rifles or half a clip or so for the other weapons.
As far as aesthetics go, the colours and patterns are enough, and no DLC armours here, I lack the cash for them.

I tend to do functionality for the most part, since I find I can go with most armor variations.

... Except helmets. Is it really that much to ask for some headgear with good stats that doesn't cover the face? Come on, guys.

^That's why I've only used the visor in ME2. Thankfully, at least one of my characters was an Infiltrator.
