I have just started playing Mass effect for the first time(not played Mass effect 2)and i have some questions

1 Can i transfer items between my squad if so how do i do it.

2 If i upgrade an item eg gun or armour is the upgrade lost when i sell the it

3 Which is best to do decide on a squad and stick with that squad.Or should i be changing one of the squad when i think somebody better comes along or if another would be better for a certain quest. I am assuming only those in the squad get the exp.

Is there a good basic guide about for Mass Effect 1.

Thanks

1. Yes, but each squad member must have equpped a suit of armour and 1 of each of the weapon types. You can only replace what they have equipped, you can't remove them. Bascially if you want to swap items between squad members, you will need a 3rd item to facilitate the swap.

2. I think so.....been a while since I played ME.  EDIT:  You can add and remove upgrades to items as many times as you like.

3. Different peeps will be better in different scenarios, and it is good to mix the squad up anyway so you get to interact with the different characters (plus some characters have unique dialogue on certain missions). When you select your squad it should tell you how powerful your squad is against 3 criteria: combat, btiotics and tech (might not be named like that though, again I cannot recall). Re the experience I think they all get it regardless whether they are with you or not, somone else should be able to confirm.

As for a guide, try the Mass Effect wikia.

hope this helps Image IPB

Note that not everyone can use the same equipment. Armour is race specific (though I believe Asari are shaped enough like humans to use human armour).
