I do hope there are going to be some interesting summons somewhere down the line, though if necessary the toolset should provide the means to add (or at least modify) specializations.

We really need more summon spells. BG2 had a lot of summons, and the expansion gave even more epic ones. I simply love them.
Well as cool as summons can be, this isn't the D&D universe, which was why so many summons in BG2. Yes it's te spirtual succesor to that, but that doesn't mean everything is gonna be coppied over, more of an overall general gameplay feel and setting.

Actually, we need no summons.
When DA was in the works, we were told no summoning, teleportation, or resurrection. I liked this as it made the magic different from other games. Now we have summoning and teleportation. I'm sure the end of the game will feature Morrigan rising from the dead and leading a zombie army to crush Dernium.

Which the mage PC will counter by pulling a Nightcrawler and teleporting bloated, fleshy and undead Morrigan to a point just above a lake of lava and then teleport out.
And then Micheal Jackson will come out of nowhere and all the zombies will start dancing!

Well, you may not like it, but others do.
And this translates to DA:O needing it?

That would be cool enough for me to accept teleporting in the game.

Needing it for people who wants it? If you don't like it you don't have to get it...

..Don't have to get what? It's not in the game. The statement more applies to you, because I'm happy with what the devs have done from what I've seen, and do not impose what I feel would be an improvement as a "need" for the game.

I don't really want to argue with a troll who doesn't even read the thread before replying so I won't be answering any more of your posts.
Anyways, seeing that some of the replies people do want more summons(and that doesn't just apply to me trollman), it couldn't hurt to add them into the game whether by DLC or expansions.

My initial reply that didn't answer your question because when you've answered as many of the same questions over and again as I have, you start to go on auto-pilot. My apologies.

Don't worry, seems half the time anyone doesn't like what someone else says and they disagree with they get labled trollman, it's kinda endearing I think.

I hate the "You can do anything with magic" crap, I think animating the dead or taming animals is fine but pulling a dragon out of your ass would be bull.

I'm pretty sure that those of us on the internet who know what actually merits trolling are a minority. It's now more of a means to dismiss any contrary position to you on a forum without actually refuting it.

Seems to me that trolls are people who disagree without posting any explanation as well as derailing the topic of discussion.

Pardon me if I am misinterpreting a jest as serious, but teleportation actually does exist within DA: O?
I believe this is the first I have read mention of it. Now my curiosity is piqued.
